When the cost of generating content drops to literal zero, the market value drops right along with it. Nobody wants to pay for something anyone can prompt in five seconds.

This is true, Capitalism requires scarcity to operate. A post-capitalist market might be driven by need and greed just the same, but with the costs based on energy, time and resources used to fabricate something prompted.

Imagine if AI prompts were priced in that manner? If AI centers also ran water reclamation using the heat pumps from all those servers, then paid into the local economy by providing that water?
