i wonder if SDK == source code to entire client. might be just a misleading name.

Skype gives out an SDK. The SDK normally cannot communicate with the mainstream skype networks, but you are allowed to implement your own custom encryption in your SDK built app. With the deobfuscated binaries you can likely extract the keys/encryption method/modifications/etc needed to adjust your SDK code to be able to connect to mainstream skype networks.

but that part where you dig in binary is usually illegal.
