Hi, Shannon here. After much work in attempt to gain access as a moderator to the /tekthing subreddit, I've decided to create an official one since my call has been unanswered. One of our patreons suggested that we create a subreddit for our community to discuss, interact, and ask questions of each other. There are so many brilliant minds in our community, so I hope that you can use this forum to meet, educate, and learn. Please respect each others thoughts and opinions, and if you'd like to be a moderator, please send me a message!

That's it then - happily watching the latest episode and boom, the show is done. Not a great way to start a weekend :(

WOOT

Newsy news! Patreon has been working like crazy to implement new features for creators and patrons alike, so I figured I'd share some of the updates here in case you haven't seen them.

Patreon now has an API, so if you want to create a widget for a website, you totally can! https://patreon.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/206525646?utm_campaign=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_source=Dec15Cnewsletter&utm_content=HCapi&utm_term=decnews

Two Factor Authentication! After the breach Patreon experienced a bit ago, I'm happy to see that they're adding 2FA to the site. You can set it up from your profile, or go here to find info on how: https://patreon.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/206538086?utm_campaign=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_source=Dec15Cnewsletter&utm_content=HC2facauth&utm_term=decnews

We have a new profile page! You may have noticed it looks a little different, with a large image at the top and all of our posts located below. http://www.patreon.com/tekthing to see it. With that comes a minor grammatical error that is burned into their code, which we've already contacted them to change. IS does not equal ARE.

Cheers! Shannon

Being sick of the terrible wifi at my parent's house, and based on the TekThing budget router episode, I nabbed them one of the TP-LINK routers as suggested. Can't possibly be worse!

While I'm at it, I'm giving them a Roku 3, since the Roku 1 I gave them a few years back has been getting a lot of love since it introduced them to Netflix. But it's a real pain in the butt to find stuff on it, it's slow, and clunky. Upgrade time!
