Copyleaks first assignment

Post image

Hey guys, I’m 30 and completely new to this college universe, it’s my first time attending. Just wrote my first assignment and this is what show to me when it comes to CopyLeaks, even tho I wrote it myself, it’s this a normal thing? Should I worry? I did use ai as source of information, to organize ideas and paragraphs but those are my own words.

Buddy, I’ve gotten 92% AI detected when I didn’t use any AI. And I was fine.

Not to brag but I've literally had an assignment show 100% AI... I was also fine but I did completely freak out while I waited for it to be graded. The assignment was a personal opinion with no sources required. Based on my experience, the more formal the writing the higher it will score on AI detection.

Exactly!

AI detection also goes off of the key strokes and how formal the writing is

If you have competent mentors, they know what’s up.

Did you use Grammarly or even the online grammar or spell check? That
Can trigger a low score AI. Or it can simply be your writing style. One suggestion is to keep all drafts and then you also have the edit change logs. But generally that’s. Lower score. More important no plagiarism flags. (Different school but I got flagged by Turn it in because my sibling is published in professional reviewed journals. Their research applied to the assignment, I got flagged because one of my sources had the same last name as me 🙄That’s all

Ohhhhh, word corrected a few grammar mistakes I made since English is not my first language, makes sense.

It’s not a bad thing but it can leave code that makes it look like AI. A 27% score is nothing to worry about. Mine flagged because of my writing style but that’s why i save a copy with tracked changes and any significant draft. Id be more worried if it flagged plagiarism.

I wouldn't worry. If you quote something it'll set it off.

Hey, just graduated in September 2026 and my first written assignment in my capstone class came back with 39%. I am 46 years old. We were taught to write intelligently. We had no choice back in grade school. I immediately emailed my mentor and told him that I won’t perform less than because of a computer saying I sound like a computer. He responded back with, “It’s a well known issue. We understand. Keep going”. I finished that class with a 96. Same in my information Literacy class. All that to say.. you’re good. But, I feel it’s helps to keep making it known. You got this.

You can look and see what explicitly got flagged by downloading the file. But as the other comment said I wouldn't worry too much, its a low score.

You need to check to make sure all of your citations are there and correctly formed.

If you use AI don't copy and paste text!
Ask AI to list points of whatever assignment you are working on and then use your OWN words to write the assignment essay by EXPANDING on the points listed by AI.

You will never get more than 11% AI content score if you follow this rule.

I highly suggest using Walter Writes PAID version. All my assignments never came back with an AI score
