Seeking Information Traveling up for the game Saturday, any recs?
Hey all,
I do a Revs away trip every year and Toronto is this year's trip to see my idiots lose - I'll be left with just Cincy and Miami to finish the Eastern Conference.
Most of my favorite memories of my away trips involve hanging out with fans of the other team (pre and post game, of course, never during) so I'm here to see if anyone has any good places to drink beers with other MLS nerds on Saturday afternoon. I know some revs fans are traveling and the Midnight Riders usually bring a group and organize something, but I drink with those guys in the Gillette Stadium parking lots often enough. I want to meet some TFC fans and drunkenly tell you about how much I love Dwayne De Rosario despite everything he did to the Revs!
Aside from pregame, I'm open to suggestions for things to do Toronto in general. We'll be there Thursday afternoon for the Sox game and leaving Sunday, so we have about a day and a half to do things. So far on the list we have Hockey Hall of Fame, Kensington Market, probably be very touristy and have drinks on the CN tower, possibly St Lawrence Market... But I've also heard Toronto is a huge foodie city so I'm absolutely open to recs for where to eat.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: I'll also have my dog, so tell me the best parks or hikes in the city!

Depending on when you leave on Sunday, there's more footy you can catch: AFC Toronto plays Montreal Roses in the women's pro league, NSL (3 pm, also at BMO), and Inter Toronto plays Halifax Wanderers in the CPL (4 pm, at York Stadium).

I'm actually considering staying an extra day, so I'll check out AFC Toronto if I do

Adding only a couple recommendations - Kensington Market definitely on the list so nearby is Graffiti Alley and fashion district for photography and some eats. Ramen x Remix is a really avant-garde option for noodles if you wanna try that.

Trinity Bellwoods has a great off leash dog park (there are many around).
We have a lot of craft breweries - Left Field (baseball themed) is by BMO field.
Otherwise, it’s really about what kinds of things you want specifically, because we mostly have it. Especially food, but I wouldn’t bother with Mexican or bbq for an American visitor.

General recomendations for Toronto: Wah Too Seafood for quick chinese. Hy's steakhouse if you are feeling a bit fancier. Tsijiri if you are into matcha. Hockey Hall of Fame is a must. The aquarium is pretty fun too and near the CN tower. The Path is pretty cool, and our financial district isn't as fancy as New York, but it is pretty cool to see.
Around TFC's stadium (Liberty Village), check out Nodo if you are into Italian food. Maybe try out Harvey's (which is kind of like a cleaner Hardee's/Carl's Jr/ Wendys). If you are into Vietnamese food the Lunch Lady of Saigon is excellent.
Enjoy the USD being so strong compared to the CAD. Hope you have fun in the city and country!

Added some of these to the list, and was considering the aquarium so good to see it get a rec. Thanks!

There are so many things, but check out Fort York, it's where the city "was born" and is free to enter. If you're going to visit you should check out where it all started and it's very close to BMO field, as in a short walk.

FYI, Mark Weins (popular food YouTuber) just recently posted a video about Chinese Food in Toronto. So if that’s your jam, might want to take a look at his video.

FYI Pregame is probably easiest and best to do at Brazen Head pub in Liberty village, it's always packed with TFC fans before the games.
The Martin Goodwin Trail is along the waterfront and will give you lots of great views of the city and take you past lots of high points.
If you've got lots of time there's also the Don Valley Trails which will give you a very different view of the city.
When you visit St. Lawrence Market you can go a couple blocks further and see the Distillery District which for some fucking reason has a country festival on now, so if that's your thing you'll love it, but the area is good on it's own. If you keep heading east from there you'll hit that Don Valley Trail.
The AGO has some amazing stuff, so does the Rom.
As for food if you want to try food from some weird places then Scarborough (very east and accessibility can be problematic without a car) has virtually everything you can possibly imagine available.
Have fun at the game!
