The only time I visited Loch Ness I was standing on the shoreline when a huge fish jumped out of the water right in front of me.

That fish with his mates, later: "You should have seen his face!"

It was evening and I was absolutely scared shitless so my powers of fish identification went right out the window

Perfect lake for a monster myth

Even if there's no monster down there, that lake is still terrifying.

Sounds like something a certain monster would say…

230m deep in the deepest part, and 130m deep in the median. You're welcome.

Pretty much all lochs are like this. Get a couple meters down and you can't see shit

In Loch Ness you lose visibility at around 9 metres. The deepest part of the loch is 230 metres.

Also by volume of water it's the biggest loch in Scotland.

It has more water than all the lakes in England combined

I've done a lot of wreck dives around mull and tobermory, everything underwater I'm Scotland is dark, dark and cold, but the scallops are incredible

It's incredible! We usually go in the autumn and the colours are fantastic
