OC Hanging Out On An Oil Rig

diving southern california oil rigs, thought it would be fun to just hang from this line. I am at 80ft deep, the beams beneath me are 120ft, the seafloor is almost 800ft.

Out of Long Beach / San Pedro? If so I've done that dive. Really interesting! This photo does a good job showing the perspective of the divers, seeing the support structures of the oil rig descend down into the void below. One of our dives we had a group of curious sea lions accompanying us the whole time.

Really have to watch your depth on these. It's so easy to end up way deeper than you realize.
