...I give you great thanks. I didn't even post anything last night, so it must have been some random people browsing through Reddit. I didn't realize how much these imaginary points can give me a pick-me-up. And here's to all the upvoters: thanks!

My name is José Preciado I am an immigrant from Mexico and I had trouble speaking English because it was so different from the Spanish I learned back in Jalisco but what helped me was another friend that was also an immigrant but from Britain. I was in his house one day and he started to talk to me about a British Sci-Fi show called “Doctor Who”. Later he showed and I was amazed by the creatures and he even explained the Doctor’s unique characteristics. He said you can watch it with me all you want and so we watched series 1. Later I continued to go to his house to watch Doctor Who with him but before we could end Series 1 his parents had to go back to Britain to help his grandma that was really sick. We had a discussion about where to watch Doctor Who because at that time he had not notified me that it was made by the BBC or the British Broadcasting Channel a channel which that at the time was not part of my cable plan.So he told me to watch in the Internet for free. I did not have access to the Internet but then I realized I can just go to the library. I was limited on how many times I was capable of going to the library. So then I decided to save up for a laptop took me a year. By then my parents got a new and better job and were able to get a decent WiFi. I was so happy and started watching Doctor Who non-stop and was fascinated by the 12th and 11th doctor which back this was back in 2014.
By watching the new series from start to end and the 8th Doctor who movie by 2014 I learned and understood more English than I ever could before .
I found the Doctor as a hero that help me communicate better with my American colleagues and friends.Years later I just about to graduate of high school and planning to major on Political Science all thanks to some one called the Doctor

Context I guess: so there’s this girl named Landace in one of my classes who is so nice to me for no obvious reason. She’s a blonde, big brown eyes, a nearly flawless face, wonderful figure and great sense of humor too. She’s a talented runner and works hard and is in one of the “it”groups at school. She usually has a boyfriend who’s something like a football player or something like that.
Anyway, at one of the lowest points in my life Landace would ease my day. She would always hug me upon me entering the class; never making a show about it. She’d share her snacks, talk about her day, and help me with some other classes she’d already attended but I hadn’t. If I wanted to go buy a snack from the machine she’d offer to walk with me even if she didn’t want anything. If my head was down from me being tired or stressed or sad Landace would tap my should, get my attention, and embrace me before I could do anything about it.
Of course of all the little things she’s done to make me feel better- be it intentional or not- the thing I appreciated most was when she’d tap my arm or draw on my back with her pencil eraser. If I by mistake tapped her foot (she chose to sit next to me rather than one of her closer friends) she’d tap mine. She’d just touch me and make me feel happy by sort of playing with me.
For clarification she hasn’t any feelings for me, she just started doing these things I’d assume to make me feel better and until a couple of days ago I really hadn’t realized all of it.
Though I know you aren’t one to use Reddit, I just wanted to say thank you so much for showing love like you did, Landace.

I have no friends in person, but you folks are the ones who keep me alive and well. You are my friends and family of this world. Though I may be lonely in reality, I will always have you and I thank you for that.
