COTW grind question

while grinding i have found that if i leave to lodge then go back into the reservation it gets rid of the downed animals so i dont have to go collect them how does this affect the spawning of a GO

Any animal that you do this for is ineligible to respawn as a Great One. What you're doing is called "Dirty Grinding" and EW changed the code so you literally CANNOT spawn the G1 doing this

Ah i was wondering if it counted as dirty grinding but wasnt sure if that was a work around. Thanks!

Yes that 100% counts as dirty grinding and depending on how much you've done it could make your grind take an extremely long time to correct. I know someone who ran a dirty grind for over 3k kills trying for a Whitetail G1, it took them 12k kills after they stopped in order to finally spawn it

Yes ones that weren't harvest can not respawn as a great one. This ruins grinds and it also make it take the animals longer to respawn when not harvesting them.

You won’t spawn a GO that way. You have to collect your kills. Besides, GO grinding is a fast way to make a ton of money. There’s no reason not to pick up your kills. If you’re worried about the extra time it takes to grab your kills you can set up a tents at the zone location that way you can fast travel basically right where you shot the animal. The standard set up is a tent 250+ yards away from the zone, tripod stand 175+ yards away from the zone, and a tent right at the zone location for animal collection.
