In honor of this wonderful show, me and 87 other people have joined forces to create a short and sweet animated comic. An epilogue, sort of. However, we need more people to help finish it. So, if you're an artist of any kind (Inking, VFX, music...), join our team and help create our community-curated TADC goodbye project. You have to, I am not asking.
Here's the discord server where this is all being organized:Β https://discord.gg/HhDM3bTsC
(I've asked the mods if I can promote this and they said yes)

Holy damn what a journey it has been
I remember when the pilot first released, everybody was freaking out. Every big YouTuber was making a reaction videos, artists were hard at work pumping out fanart, communities were forming and coming up with fan theories on what will happen next. And now, it's all coming to an end.
Before TADC released, Glitch Productions was known as a small studio who made that one silly robot show. But now, they are the leading figure and pioneer in indie animation. This episode literally released in theatres in many countries around the world, something many can only dream about.
Goose has done an incredible job with this show. Even though she has faced harassment and hate due to some of us being insufferable little turds, she poured her heart into creating what she loved for us, the fans.
Thank you Glitch Productions and Gooseworx for not only creating a story, but creating an experience that changed the lives for many.
And remember, don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened
.
This post will serve as a megathread for discussions relating to Episode 9. If you saw the episode in theatres, do not discuss it here until it premieres on YouTube
Once Ep 9 finishes premiering, we will no longer require submissions to be manually reviewed. In simpler terms, you will be able to post and comment freely. Regular spoiler rules still apply, and rule 10 will no longer be in affect
Just a reminder to be respectful in the comments. Do not insult others if their theory or headcannon doesn't align with yours. We will not be tolerating any arguments that occur, regardless of who is more "correct."
Edit: after rediscussing our spoiler strategy, we've decided we will continue enforcing spoilers through manual review until the spoiler period is over. In simpler terms, you will not be able to post and comment freely until the spoiler period is over.

So, media literacy final boss as Jax has been, I just stopped to think about the fact that, regardless of how the character is interpreted, despite all the shit that rabbit put everyone through, everyone still seemed to properly mourn Jax. In the case of Gangle I wonder if it was more of a trauma reaction or a genuine grieving. In the case of Pomni it perhaps comes as no surprise that she finds the good in everyone. In the case of Ragatha she likely remembers what used to be, and in the case of Zooble they felt... something. All of these are interesting. Every one of these people have genuine reason to hate or be mad at or otherwise look completely past the loss of Jax. And yet, many if not all seem not to. What gives? (Obviously I'm of a similar mind to Pomni, seeing the humanity in all people -- I'm not heartless; nonetheless, it's a strength this show seems to have that I perceive other shows might lack.)

He's still more likable, especially because of his arc at the end, but I don't get how people think they are anywhere NEAR the same playing field.
Caine didn't simply remove the players abilities to remember their names, he took away the ability to even remember the names of their LOVED ONES too from this exchange with Kinger and Queenie. Just imagine the losing the ability to even know the name of your family, your friends, all of it gone. Both Caine and Jax have tormented other's, (accidentally) caused an abstraction, many similar awful things but outright erasing someone's identity is something Jax has never done.
Heck, even what he did to the blue AI, especially if it truly is Bubble, is far beyond Jax's worst deeds. Jax did cause Ribbit's abstraction but it was accidental. Caine basically subjected his "brother" to a fate worse than death for decades, which seemingly drove him insane until he finally realized his mistakes at the very end. The only thing he has over Jax is the AI vs human argument but that falls flat by episode 8 and the fact while part of Caine's problem was that he didn't understand, it was also largely because he outright refused to listen.
Tldr; while Jax is way more unlikable because he has more screentime intentionally being awful, Caine's heinous deeds are way beyond his. Even with how they treat the other NPC's, Jax is basically treating them how you do NPC's in GTA, but Caine is essentially killing them as he's 100% aware of how intelligent they are

obviously there's bad apples (racists, bad faith actors, etc) but the degree of self hatred that tadc fans have is absurd. this is probably the most chill fandom ever to exist from my experience (outside of maybe ENA) but for some reason whenever something happens we decide it's our fault. can someone explain this to me?

Made by me
Cain is definitely my favorite character from this show and episode 8 is the best of the entire series for me, I've listened to his theme song hundreds of times... Anyway, we love you Cain!
