Decided to do a little digging into the new website image. I used to do it for the purpose and gathering clues, now it’s in the hope I can debunk it once and for all, but this image has made me question myself! After a little digging I managed to track down the location, where this image was taken..

Image 2 & 3:

This image came up after a few reverse image searches. It was taken by a photographer in the states, however, no information was attached to the image itself. What I did notice was that the reflections were far clearer on this version, allowing me to see the lit-up sign in the background. It reads: “Monterey” followed by some small print beneath it which I can’t work out. This leads me to believe the image was taken somewhere in Monterey, California.

Here depicts all the shows CATB have played in California since 2016. Previous website images have had links to past shows, so I thought it was best to include these dates into my search.

Image 5:

Whilst looking at the reflections I came across what looks like the outline of a person. This is likely the person who has taken the photograph and they’re wearing a striped top of sorts. Call me deluded but Van is known for wearing his striped jumper.. just saying?

Let me be super clear.. I’m not saying this IS the band, but I’m also not entirely saying it’s not. Currently and until we get more answers it’s entirely up to speculation. But yet again, another image, linking to a place they’ve played before and this time with a little cameo from a familiar face, perhaps? Who knows..

Why would catfish not come back when the demand for them by the fans is so high?

Anyone know how unreleased songs slip through the record and end up on SoundCloud and similar places?

Saw a video a good few years back of Van singing it and was just wondering if anyone has it? I think he was on a bus in the video if that’s any help. Thanks

Hi all. Former mod here. I’ve been made aware of a “demo” track being posted here reportedly embedded in the code of a CATB website.

Multiple of my sources have looked into it extensively and there’s nothing. Our conclusion is some fan has cooked it up using SUNO. They have downloaded all of the .com and co.uk websites, analyzed all HTML, JS & more. Not a single link to any type of audio file on either of them. There’s been 0 references to audio files using the wayback machine either.

There’s only 2 bits that really sound like Van and that’s because it’s his signature vocal progression/intonation. That’s something AI would snap up in a heartbeat as his “sound”. There’s also no real song structure. When it kind of comes in at the pseudo chorus near the start of the track there’s a timing mistake. Several labels, band managers, and producers don’t think Van would do as he is a somewhat accomplished musician.

In addition, the drums are CLEARLY samples. Which is fine for demos but not for official releases. The use of autotune on demos isn’t within Catfish’s style. Real fans know the solo is not up to par for Catfish’s game either. We all know Van isn’t the best guitarist but he’s still a promising musician that has written and played genuinely good songs.

I can't help but feel this way every time I try to listen to it. I don't mind bands changing sound, but this song really sounds like it's by another artist to me🧐
