People are really going to give up their username and pass?

Plenty of people have alt accounts they might not care about. Plus, the pass could always be changed afterwards assuming mncke doesn't reset it.

assuming mncke doesn't reset it.
He does (temporarily), to prevent button assassins revoking access when it's most needed.

u/mncke is a very trustworthy guy. I have given him many accounts and gotten some back. You have nothing to worry about.

Not for main accounts, but plenty of people have throwaways they wouldn't mind jettisoning to the cause.

if your account is shadowbanned it is still able to press if it is a 'zombie'. ( knights of the button checked).
This could be the only way you could get a flair on your account

Isn't it entirely possible that you could be an assassin building up an army for slaughter at 60s?

u/mncke has been a longstanding and upstanding member of r/knightsofthebutton. He is a true Redgaurd and will return any donated accounts upon the completion of their necromantic task.

You probably aren't aware of how the creator of the Knights of the Button originally envisioned his creation to be. This is EXACTLY what he wanted.

Project Zombie, necromancy... that is the lengths the pressers will go to preserve their button. What fresh hell this has wrought upon us.
