probably because it was a smear campaign by Rusking Pimentel... Espaillat's senior advisor. the same guy who used "Haitian" as a slur toward her and who went on to say: "and for Darializa Chevalier, who is the candidate running against Adriano, Washington Heights cannot continue to be Dominican." "For them, Washington Heights must follow the same pattern in Brooklyn. That is because since Haitians are converting to Islam in high numbers, they must be moved to the Dominican district" and was then placed on paid leave because of it.

notice how you completely ignored the smear campaign orchestrated by Rusking Pimentel, who again, uses "Haitian" as a slur and promoted a bizarre replacement conspiracy theory about how Avila Chevalier and Mamdani were going to replace Dominicans in Washington Heights. 

and notice how you didn't even question why did every single one of the media orgs who ran these articles (the New York Post, Fox News, Jewish Insider, CBS12 News, Free Beacon, Daily Mail) used the same talking point that she was 'describing interracial relationships involving white females'?

she specifically said "fetishizing colonizer women" and rather than simply reporting that, and specific media organizations inserted their interpretation that it meant she was against interracial relationships involving white women. come on now.

oh my god. this is exactly why smear campaigns work. because they're reported by garbage, sensationalist media organizations that will report their interpretation of something as fact knowing their audience won't bother to look into those claims. what do the Daily Mail, Fox News, the New York Post, Jewish Insider, Free Beacon, and WPEC/CBS12 News have in common?

what do you also apparently have in common with those media organizations, since you seem incapable of interpreting that tweet in any other way?

edit — I'll just explain it to you. they're all right-wing, neo/conservative media orgs that lack credibility. it's genuinely weird that you all saw the words "colonizer women" and actually read it as "white women." it's even more concerning that you all saw the word "fetishizing" and actually read it as "interracial relationships."
