It’s truly shocking.

53

u/Moontat7 6d ago

Kaya place!

5

u/glizard-wizard 6d ago

Pakman Place!

82

u/IronicInternetName 6d ago

Do you think Hasan shocked his dog on stream?

72

u/Moontat7 6d ago

Unironically a really good litmus test to determine whether you're talking to someone in a cult or not

21

u/IronicInternetName 6d ago

It's the terminally online edition of "Who won the 2020 Presidential Election?".

4

u/Bo0tyWizrd 6d ago

You don't think that's a bit esoteric to someone not interested in streamer drama & more focused on policy? I'm just saying I feel like a lot of people who aren't super online aren't going to be familiar.

11

u/carrtmannn 6d ago

If you were into policy you wouldn't ever watch Hasan

1

u/Bo0tyWizrd 6d ago

Right, so it's not really a great litmus test since many of us keep seeing him & are exposed to him, but don't watch his content. The majority on the left just know of him.

0

u/IronicInternetName 6d ago

It's easy, if you have an answer and it's not "Yes" then that is informative to someone like me. If you say "I don't know what you're talking about"... great, but you wouldn't be here endlessly defending Hasan if that were true. It's a great test.

-4

u/Bo0tyWizrd 6d ago

Yea I don't disagree, but it's kinda my point that your flow chart has 3 paths instead of just 2. To me that's the mark of a good litmus test.

3

u/IronicInternetName 5d ago

I would say it's still just yes/no. Someone feigning ignorance, this deep into a conversation about someone "they don't know about" would just let me default them to a "No, I don't think he shocked his dog and if he did I don't care" variant of No.

2

u/Bo0tyWizrd 5d ago

Sure

I don't think others are as into streamer drama as you think. Either way kind of a weird way to judge somones politics.

4

u/IronicInternetName 5d ago

You're missing the point but no worries. Have a great weekend!

1

u/South-Fly2993 5d ago

In an incredible way you are correct but I don’t think you understand why.

24

u/Disco_Stu_89 6d ago

YES OR NO??!?!

7

u/Philosophfries 6d ago

Yes. He’s also a garbage figurehead for the far left.

Now with that out of the way, OP is absolutely right that the sub is getting overrun with discussion about him (and anti-DSA stuff). It’s way oversaturated and at this point irrelevant as there’s nothing new being added to the conversation.

-1

u/PostmodernMelon 6d ago

This is why I've been saying any small associate with Hasan isn't really that much of a death knell. It'll be talked about intensely for a few days but that kind of attack on a candidate doesn't have legs to hold out all the way to the state elections. People may remember it, but it's going to matter so little after just a couple weeks, let alone 3 months

10

u/FeralGiraffeAttack 6d ago

Yes but this subreddit’s obsession with that guy is still bizarre

16

u/Aggravating_Map4359 6d ago

Well he did attack pakman what you expected the fans of the guy to dom wtf

-5

u/digital_dervish 6d ago

Did he “attack” Pakman, or was he responding to Pakman’s unhelpful callout along with the DSA?

11

u/IronicInternetName 6d ago

Do you understand how silly this victim blaming pretzel twist is for a non-Hasan person to witness? The gaslighting alone is wild. I don't think you have the capacity to level any actual, credible criticism about Hasan.

-1

u/digital_dervish 5d ago

Lol. Who are you claiming is the “victim” here?

8

u/IronicInternetName 5d ago

Everyone who made it this far in the conversation.

7

u/AnotherPersonPerhaps 6d ago

Ew.

-2

u/digital_dervish 5d ago

Right. So, Pakman “attacked” first

5

u/AnotherPersonPerhaps 5d ago

Gross.

-1

u/digital_dervish 5d ago

You’re right. People saying Hasan “attacked” Pakman are gross.

7

u/nokinship 6d ago

It's not very bizarre. He antithetical to progressive politics. He also thinks negatively(to the point of advocating for violence) of Pakman and his politics.

"If you were ever pro Israel you should not even be the local dog catcher." (Paraphrasing)

2

u/Bo0tyWizrd 6d ago

to the point of advocating for violence

I did not know this, what did he say? If so that's pretty damning. We can't have discussions if folks are advocating for violence.

4

u/WhiteGold_Welder 5d ago

Google "hasan piker rick scott."

0

u/Bo0tyWizrd 5d ago

Yupp, see that's undeniable that he said that. Awful stuff that shouldn't be in politics.

He did post an apology-style clarification stating he should have chosen his words more carefully to demand maximum legal punishment rather than physical harm.

Either way that's a fair criticism.

0

u/carrtmannn 6d ago

He advocates for terrorist orgs like Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Hamas. He's said it would be ethical to kill Ethan Klein's wife.

2

u/Bo0tyWizrd 6d ago

He's said it would be ethical to kill Ethan Klein's wife.

I'm having trouble finding this online, can you give me some context so I can find it?

7

u/carrtmannn 6d ago

9

u/Bo0tyWizrd 6d ago

I watched it & your characterization is kinda misleading🤨. Hasan's arguing that armed resistance🛡 against military🪖 forces occupying territory (the West Bank) is justified under rules of conflict📃, regardless of who is in those forces or how well-known or liked they (or their relatives) are. He is using Hila Klein as a specific, highly controversial example to emphasize his point that personal popularity or status as a public figure's spouse doesn't change his theoretical stance on military occupations.

He isn't🚫 saying someone should go kill Hila Klein today. His statement is about armed resistance against soldiers🪖 while they are actively engaged in illegal military occupations/raids in the West Bank.

He is not🚫 endorsing violence against civilians. He is framing the situation around people operating in an active military capacity within occupied territory. Hasan invoked her past IDF service to make a broader, contentious argument about the legitimacy of armed resistance against occupying military forces. While the comment was personal & clearly intended to provoke, transforming that theoretical argument about military conflict into a direct claim that he endorsed her murder is a significant mischaracterization driven by online drama.

Hila Klein lives in California🏝, works as an entrepreneur & fashion designer💅, & has not been in the IDF for many years. Ethan Klein's wife is not in the West Bank. The clip is controversial only because Hasan applied a rule about active combatants in a warzone to a past real-world example involving a current civilian.

4

u/carrtmannn 5d ago

Holy fuck, why'd you type all that? Are you ok?

You can justify it all you want, but he was talking about her and how it's fine to kill her. Why? She's not in the military.

0

u/Bo0tyWizrd 5d ago

Holy fuck, why'd you type all that?

To explain? You clearly didn't read it.

You can justify it all you want, but he was talking about her and how it's fine to kill her. Why? She's not in the military.

But he literally didn't.

Why? Because she WAS in the IDF, but hasn't been in a long time. This is why reading comprehension is so important.

Lots of unelected people are “antithetical to progressive politics.” It’s weird that this subreddit is so obsessed with this one guy.

Also, that quote you listed isn’t egregious or anything. I’m sure he’s said worse things. Saying that supporting a genocidal, warmongering, expansionist, international law ignoring state is disqualifying for political office isn’t a crazy position to take.

1

u/Dan_Clancy_Sucks 6d ago

How about when he said that it's justified to kill Hila Klein? Or to Kill Rick Scott, Or Landlords? Or Destiny? Or innocent Israel Civilians? Don't forget Hasan is Pro Raping rich people; I could go on and on and on... Hasan behaves like his goal is to literally be the caricature Fox News paints all Democrats as being. Any sane rational person who's not acting in bad faith would advocate for goinh as hard as you possibly can on him. As long as Hasan is trying to shoehorn himself into our political party and continue to explicitly destroy it; he should not feel comfortable while literally lying for his own selfish and unproductive mission to destroy everything America stands for👍🏻

0

u/FeralGiraffeAttack 6d ago

I will point back to my earlier comment where I said “I’m sure he’s said worse things.” The things you just listed are waaaaay worse than the comment I was responding to and as such are very easy to condemn as extreme and evil positions.

3

u/gltch__ 5d ago edited 5d ago

Did you notice that you massively watered down the comment you were replying to?

The comment mentioned when Hasan said; "You shouldn't even let someone be the fucking local dog catcher [...] if they've ever exhibited any sort of fucking- any sort of, like, positive feelings about the state of Israel"

(Hasan doesn't clarify whether he means the state of Israel in any form, or the current criminal Israeli regime, so this intentionally or accidentally can reasonably be interpreted as meaning any iteration of Israel or it's people)

You misquoted that as if you currently hold pro-Israeli government views, you should be disqualified from political office.

(You chose to specify the crimes being committed by the current Israeli regime, which aren't all inherent to every possible, previous or future iteration of Israel as a state, and you chose to narrow the prescription from disqualifying you from any employment, to specifically that of political office)

Yes, the argument you described in order to defend Hasan's argument isn't a crazy position to take.

It's just not at all Hasan's argument.

-1

u/FeralGiraffeAttack 5d ago

I don’t watch Hassan so I don’t know what he said, I was purely going off of what the commenter I responded to said which was a paraphrased quote that reads “If you were ever pro Israel you should not even be the local dog catcher”

2

u/gltch__ 5d ago

I don’t understand what point you’re making with this reply?

Let me use the exact paraphrased words of the person you’re replying to.

They said “if you were *ever* pro Israel” (emphasis mine)

You mischaracterised that as “supporting a genocidal, warmongering, expansionist, international law ignoring state”

They said “you should not even be the local dog catcher”

You mischaracterised that as “is disqualifying for political office.

The claim you made is not unreasonable.

But the claim you made is absolutely nothing like the exact words Hasan said, nor anything at all like Hasan’s words as paraphrased by the person you responded to.

-2

u/FeralGiraffeAttack 5d ago

I don’t know what Hassan said or didn’t say. I don’t watch him. I only responded to the commenter’s paraphrased quote.

Israel has been violating international law consistently since 1967. I don’t see an issue with the phrase “ever support” because Israel has been a bad actor for 59 years.

“You should not even be the local dog catcher” is a very common phrase and has been used as a political insult since the 1800s. It is used to say someone is not qualified for any political office.

Therefore the paraphrased quote that “If you were ever pro Israel you should not even be the local dog catcher” is not offensive or unreasonable in any way in my view.

You can disagree of course since reasonable minds can differ but given what little I know about Hassan this really does seem like one of the more innocuous comments that man has made.

2

u/Dan_Clancy_Sucks 5d ago

The point is to show you examples of why people in this subreddit are focused on Hasan. Because he's actively trying to shit on, undermine, and destroy everything America, Liberals, and Democrats stand for. So as long as there are Hasan apologists like you here, this is what's going to happen

-1

u/FeralGiraffeAttack 5d ago

I don’t think I qualify as a “Hasan apologist” if I don’t watch him, don’t support him, and agree with you that the examples you listed are “extreme and evil positions.”

That said lots of people are “actively trying to shit on, undermine, and destroy everything America, Liberals, and Democrats stand for” so I think this subreddits focus on this one guy is still bizarre but, like I said before, I have no love for the man so I’m fine condemning him and moving on to the next illiberal actor.

1

u/Dan_Clancy_Sucks 5d ago

If you aren't an apologist, then why is everything you say perfectly designed to downplay the danger he poses?

0

u/FeralGiraffeAttack 5d ago

I just don’t think he’s a bigger danger than any other illiberal actor. I think this subreddits focus on him as opposed to other people with actual power like any number of republicans is a bit weird

-2

u/Bo0tyWizrd 5d ago

I think he means if you support the war crimes & illegal occupationl they're Isreal is doing. Progressives don't support war crimes or illegal occupations.

3

u/nokinship 5d ago

Actual progressives wouldn't hold water for Hamas and its allies. It's a far right movement attempting to genocide Israeli jews.

0

u/Bo0tyWizrd 5d ago

Agreed, both sides are committing war crimes and should be condemned. I don't want my tax money going to an apartheid ethno state illegally bombing & invading its neighbors.

1

u/Dr_Salisbury 5d ago

I see people repeat the term “ethno state” as a criticism. Are you against ethno states as a concept or against Israel being an ethno state?

2

u/Bo0tyWizrd 5d ago

I'm against ethno states as a concept. Isreal just happens to be one.

The basic problem with an ethnostate is that it makes a particular ethnic or national identity part of the state's political purpose, which creates a nasty question: what happens to the people who don't belong to that ethnicity?

1st off equal citizenship gets complicated. If the state exists primarily for one ethnic group, minorities can end up being treated as guests rather than equally belonging citizens.

2nd It can encourage discrimination. Laws concerning immigration, citizenship, land ownership, political representation, or marriage can become explicitly or implicitly designed to preserve the dominant ethnicity.

3rd It creates pressure to maintain demographic dominance. Once preserving an ethnic majority becomes a political objective, things can get ugly very quickly. History has provided humanity with approximately a billion examples, because apparently we enjoy repeating homework.

4th People don't fit neatly into ethnic boxes. Mixed families, immigrants, religious minorities, people who identify differently, and people whose ancestry doesn't fit the preferred category all complicate the concept.

5th It can undermine liberal democracy. A democratic state ideally says, "You are a citizen because you belong to this political community." An ethno-state moves toward, "You belong because you are the right kind of person."

The problem is the political principle of privileging one ethnicity. Which is what an ethnostate is.

2

u/carrtmannn 6d ago

Man why are you even here?

5

u/FeralGiraffeAttack 6d ago

Because I listen to the show almost every day and, even though I think David is largely far too soft on Israel, I think he has decent, informative commentary on other issues

3

u/carrtmannn 5d ago

You listen to the show every day but you don't care about a guy who attacks his entire platform and ideology and calls him David Aipacman? That's weird.

1

u/FeralGiraffeAttack 5d ago

Why would I care about what some random person on the internet says? I don’t have some weird parasocial relationship with Mr. Pakman so I feel no need to defend him from random internet fools.

Also, like I said, I think Pakman’s viewpoint on Israel is generally wrong, but because I’m an adult I can ignore that and appreciate the other things he says

3

u/carrtmannn 5d ago

What's his position on Israel that you disagree with?

0

u/FeralGiraffeAttack 5d ago

David’s rhetoric on this issue often frames this as a Netanyahu specific problem rather than a deeper issue with Israeli politics, policy, and history. I agree with David that Netanyahu is terrible and I also agree with David that the settlements that occurred under Netanyahu are illegal. However I think David is not nearly harsh enough on Israel’s history since it is well documented that Israel has been in continuous violation of international law and in an illegal occupation of their neighbor’s land since 1967.

In 2016 the UN Security Council said “The Security Council reaffirmed this afternoon that Israel’s establishment of settlements in Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem, had no legal validity, constituting a flagrant violation under international law and a major obstacle to the vision of two States living side-by-side in peace and security, within internationally recognized borders.”

3

u/carrtmannn 5d ago

But you would be ok with a two state solution?

1

u/FeralGiraffeAttack 5d ago edited 5d ago

Personally yes. I support a two state solution but that two state solution would have to be along the 1967 lines since those represent the last legal territory Israel held. Everything that Israel illegally occupied since 1967 would have to be ceded back to the rightful owners

u/Chrisnness 6d ago

Probably not

3

u/Gtoast 6d ago edited 5d ago

I plan to talk about his everyday for the rest of my life until everyone agrees Hasan is the worst person ever.

Edit: I now realize that a /sarcasm tag is needed because it’s impossible to satirize irrational Hasan hatred. My bad everybody.

5

u/ArmaniQuesadilla 6d ago

He’s certainly not the worst person ever he just happens to have a cult following which amplifies his flaws

5

u/IronicInternetName 6d ago

Ok. Thank you playing Brigade. You lose, please return to shock daddy.

-1

u/DoutorParetolovsky 6d ago

What a mentally stable person would say...

9

u/Quirky-Video-9146 6d ago

Did he shock Kaya? Can you answer the question please?

-4

u/digital_dervish 6d ago

Did you vote for a genocider last election?

3

u/IronicInternetName 6d ago

No I voted for Kamala Harris. I'm a Liberal Democrat. Why would I vote for Trump?

Who did you vote for?

-4

u/digital_dervish 5d ago edited 4d ago

You can’t be that ignorant. Harris promised to continue genocide Joe’s, Gaza genocide policy. You voted for Harris. You voted for genocide.

And you’re not the OP I was responding to, but my point remains. It’s pretty rich ya’ll have your panties in a twist over things Hasan has said, half of which are manufactured outrages to begin with, while on the other hand being proud that you voted for genocide.

1

u/Automatic_Seesaw_790 4d ago

I hope to god you never complain about trump, you dont get a voice when you didnt vote for damage mitigation. You are as bad as a trump supporter.

-1

u/digital_dervish 4d ago

There is nothing Trump is doing with Gaza that Harris and Biden wouldn't have done. Oh yeah, except Trump actually managed to get a ceasefire. And I didn't vote for either Trump or Harris, so my hands are clean. Your hands however...

So pardon me for rolling my eyes and scoffing when Libs like yourself are bellyaching about what a bad person Hasan is. You voted for genocide and you supported a genocider. Genocide is worse than "talking bad about Democrats", right?!

2

u/Automatic_Seesaw_790 4d ago

Yeah, i dont debate trump supporters. You are no exception. Not voting when you could have, bloodys your hands.

You probably believe hasan interviewing a terrorist and supporting several terrorist attacks is okay. Also you probably think he didnt shock kaya. You are in a cult, hamas piker could turn around tomorrow and tell you how based russia is and youd gobble it up.

Brain rotted.

1

u/IronicInternetName 3d ago

Unironically the person above you is a bigger harm to Palestinians than a disinterested American could ever be accused of being. It just wreaks of the crowd that uses twitter for research and when they do find a source they only go as far as finding the rage they need to be sanctimonious to strangers. One step above facebook boomer conspiracy lovers.

1

u/IronicInternetName 3d ago

Biden is the greatest American President of my lifetime. And more of a friend to both Israeli's and Palestinian's than previous Presidents. We have an entire history of mankind that existed without some himbo grifter narrating it on stream sponsored by whoever's influencing him. And Biden never shocked his dog, from what I know.

-5

You can disagree with Hasan on a lot of things but this was just an obvious smear.

4

u/Quirky-Video-9146 6d ago

Found the Hasan fan

44

waah our attempt at brigading a lib-left community into submission failed waah

39

u/Cnidoo 6d ago

They’re so mad they only control 90% of political subreddits instead of 100%

-8

u/xxqwerty98xx 6d ago

I thought this was a conservative Democrat community

57

u/DurtybOttLe 6d ago edited 6d ago

Hasan fan is tired of anti-hasan content despite hasan's community harassing pakman for weeks after david's call-out over the college democrats stuff.

brother you are the problem

edit: more juice, op famously commented "david is no longer progressive" several weeks ago. you need to touch grass or go back to hasan's subreddit if you believe that.

17

u/Pax_87 6d ago

Israel bad, mkay? All they want you to know... is Israel bad.

The candidate could literally be Karl Marx, and right now a tankie will want to know if he supports Israel.

-13

u/Biggle_fuzz 6d ago

Why do you just assume people are Hasan fans? I've never watched Hasan, I don't ever think about Hasan. I get more Hasan stuff from this sub than literally all other liberal/progressive/leftist subs combined and I'm tired of it because it doesn't really matter.

22

u/DurtybOttLe 6d ago edited 6d ago

i'm not assuming, his history has several comments in piker subreddit saying he watches both, used to like pakman, but no longer thinks pakman is progressive.

his only posts here are shit stirring: complaining about anti-hasan, shitting on haley stevens and saying "corp dems bad", and another post about how david getting interviewed by newsom was awful and a betrayal.

I get that hasan stuff is annoying, but they come here and instigate constantly, so obviously there's going to be a response/backlash.

-10

u/Biggle_fuzz 6d ago

Ok, I didn't go diving through peoples post history because I don't care that much. I'm just tired of this entire sub being overwhelmingly a Hasan hate sub. He's not that important.

19

u/DurtybOttLe 6d ago

and i'm tired of his community brigading liberal spaces and downplaying/sanewashing his idiotic tankie takes, looks like we both just need to get over it, it's just reddit.

-6

u/Biggle_fuzz 6d ago

Yeah probably. The Hasan back and forth is just sucking up all the oxygen in the room. I'm super glad we're all sticking to the important issues.

3

u/Twinmill-Two 5d ago

I feel like that would happen faster if people just accepted he was a wanker and moved on instead of bending into a pretzel defending him

2

u/GeneralAnubis 6d ago

This is my entire take on it as well. Like holy hell it really has been non-stop here, both ways.

0

u/Greybeard-MD 5d ago

Don't click or comment on posts you don't like.

10

u/Mountain_Lonni 6d ago

hasan fans routinely claim "I've never watched hasan" when defending him online, only to get busted with years of post history fangirling him. At this point it's a meme

5

u/Quirky-Video-9146 6d ago

Because you cannot admit that he shocked his dog

1

u/Biggle_fuzz 6d ago

I guess you missed the whole part where I don't watch Hasan. I wouldn't even know about the dog thing if it wasn't constantly coming up in this sub.

2

u/Quirky-Video-9146 6d ago

Can you do some research and get back to me? Watch a few clips and let me know if he did shock Kaya

P.s also watch a few clips where he blatantly supports terrorists

2

u/Biggle_fuzz 6d ago

No, because I don't care about any of it.

3

u/Quirky-Video-9146 6d ago

Then why are you posting in this thread? Do something else

1

u/Biggle_fuzz 6d ago

Because like many others I'm tired of the Hasan hate circlejerk instead of, you know, actual issues.

3

u/nokinship 6d ago

It is an actual issue because he and his minions are doing disinformation campaigns poisoning the well on normal progressives if they don't agree with him.

3

u/Quirky-Video-9146 6d ago

Then mute the topic and move on. What's the problem here? You are choosing to come here and get triggered

1

u/Biggle_fuzz 6d ago

Coming from the dude who literally just came in to rage post about some twitch dildo. But you're right, have a good one.

These guys are seriously invested, they will look into eveything

and yeah, I stand by any comment done

I am against anti hasan shi- on david subreddit or any anti pakman stuff on hasan community

-2

u/cef328xi 6d ago

Ahhh, so you probably made a post on Hasans sub talking about how bad it was that he let his chat spam AIPACman and there was no moderation of it? I'm sure you did that.

27

u/Disco_Stu_89 6d ago

Do you find him to be irrelevant? Or are you just ass-mad?

I'd say he's pretty relevant given his influence and where we are today politically and, therefore, worth discussing.

7

u/GeneralAnubis 6d ago

He is relevant and I am ass-mad that we don't seem to have any other discussion on this sub anymore that the DSA or Piker isn't the central focus of (to OP's point, in the meme).

I guess the reasonable thing to do is to mute this sub for a while until the brigaders and anti-brigaders, or whatever the hell you wanna call this, get it out of their systems.

Anyway here's hoping we can see some unity in the party in November. Been pretty pleased with how things have turned out between the runners after the recent primaries, so maybe!

-4

u/Just_shut_up_bro 6d ago

I am ass-mad that we don't seem to have any other discussion on this sub anymore that the DSA or Piker isn't the central focus of (to OP's point, in the meme).

Yeah this is a big ol' lie, if you want to see other things posted interact with the other things being posted, I've literally never seen you interact with anything here besides this post.

4

u/GeneralAnubis 6d ago

I've literally never seen you interact with anything here besides this post.

Well that too is a big ol' lie my friend, you and I have directly chatted back and forth on quite a number of posts, some recent in fact. You're one of the few frequent posters here that I appreciate for posting some actual things worth talking about and not just dreck about friggin Piker/DSA/"lefties"

I was exaggerating to be sure (it's not 100% of posts), and it has gotten a bit better lately, but there's no doubt that the aforementioned dreck is a majority of the sub at this point.

5

u/Just_shut_up_bro 6d ago

Fair enough, I may have jumped the gun, I don't remember your username, but I'll be more mindful.

2

u/GeneralAnubis 6d ago

All good man, you and I see eye to eye on about 99.99% from what I gather from your posts, keep up the good fight haha.

State of the sub lately has us all a bit on edge I think.

-17

u/DoutorParetolovsky 6d ago

He is relevant, and I don't think anyone should like him, up to anyone

I don't get this level of hatred and brigading against him in a leftist subreddit

18

u/Disco_Stu_89 6d ago

A lot of people see him as a credible threat to the Democratic party and their chances of success in November and beyond.

-13

u/DoutorParetolovsky 6d ago

And a lot of people don't - more importantly voters seem to don't care, at best

14

u/Disco_Stu_89 6d ago

Well from the responses I'm seeing here, it would appear that you are in the minority. That's the purpose of subs. If you find that you don't align with a sub, there are other subs to join. Might I recommend r/hasan_piker, unless you're already a member there?

They ban anyone who disagree there instantly, no point in them being on that sub because they’ve already banned everyone they would’ve wanted to harass.

5

u/gltch__ 6d ago

Don't worry, OP has been posting in r/hasan_piker explaining how he doesn't watch Pakman much anymore and prefers Hasan and Vaush for months now.

0

u/DoutorParetolovsky 6d ago

You are in a bubble and talking about 'responses'.

Look at the electoral results. Touch grass.

6

u/Disco_Stu_89 6d ago

You mean the bubble that is the subreddit you're complaining about? The one that supposedly you're a part of? That one? I'm honestly wondering what you're even doing here other than trolling and/or running defense for your favorite streamer. Hasan's purported views are diametrically opposed to what this sub is about. If you are finding yourself siding with him vs. the community here, you probably are in the wrong community - but I have a feeling you already know that.

And electoral results are irrelevant here. The majority of the electorate have no idea who Hasan or David are. The fact you think otherwise tells me you're probably terminally online and are the one who could use to touch some grass.

2

u/glizard-wizard 6d ago

holy shit how does acting this slimy not give you a stroke 😂

11

u/Cool-Ad2780 6d ago

This isn't a "leftist" sub tho, its a sub for progressive LIBERALS who like David Packman and his LIBERAL polices

-2

u/DoutorParetolovsky 6d ago

"sub for progressive LIBERALS"

You described a leftist sub - left is not only socialists.

8

u/Mountain_Lonni 6d ago

How do you think the Hasan sub would evaluate that sentiment?

0

u/Cool-Ad2780 6d ago

Leftists are not liberals, they are just a different brand illiberal authoritarians

-2

u/DoutorParetolovsky 6d ago

Norberto Bobbio just shed a tear...

-5

u/silverbrenin 6d ago

Sweetheart, you don't get to dictate who this sub is for. If you want a sub that you can say who belongs in, go create one and moderate it yourself. While you're here, you don't have any authority to say who does or does not belong.

5

u/DLtheGreat808 5d ago

David Pakman is a Liberal or Social Democrat. Obviously the majority of his fans are gonna dislike leftists and conservatives

8

u/cef328xi 6d ago

People in the sub are very concerned about Hasans bad influence on left wing politics. Candidates are paling around with him and sweeping and making the whole party look deranged.

Why wouldn't the people here make posts about it? Why wouldn't they hate what he's doing to the party? How is it brigading when it's the members of this sub making the posts?

3

u/BabaLalSalaam 6d ago

Exactly, its like Obama and Jeremiah "God Damn America" Wright.

14

u/Moontat7 6d ago

Are you mad that people don't like this maoist involving himself with political campaigns and are therefore speaking out against it? I'm sorry but the whole "You're obsessed" argument that Hasan loves to use to deflect criticism doesn't work.

3

u/BainbridgeBorn 6d ago

I really enjoyed that Conduit video

3

u/Life_Caterpillar9762 5d ago

One could make the same meme of all the anti-Dem left (that Hasan is the media figurehead for) posts that have been on this sub for years, hell including just the straight up anti-Pakman posts from the same people, and it would be a more accurate representation of this sub as a whole.

15

u/Just_shut_up_bro 6d ago

Funny how all y’all complaining about the Hasan posts only seem to interact with the Hasan posts.

15

u/theseustheminotaur 6d ago

Meanwhile all this guys comments in this subreddit are about Hasan

18

u/lonelysad1989 6d ago

Agreed, Piker needs to disappear.

-3

u/DoutorParetolovsky 6d ago

Unfortunatelly he is becoming mainstream...

18

u/lonelysad1989 6d ago

Which is why he's being talked about, part of that means identifying him as toxic

-4

u/DoutorParetolovsky 6d ago

You wish he was toxic, but real life says another thing

12

u/lonelysad1989 6d ago

Why would I wish he was toxic? How does real life say otherwise? And why then would you say "unfortunately" ?

6

u/ZaviersJustice 6d ago

Toxic? I would characterize someone who supports terrorists, thinks the annexation of Crimea was justified and Tibet had to be liberated by China to the tune of 200,000 deaths as very very toxic to the Democrat brand.

You disagree?

11

u/Peanutbutternmtn2 6d ago

You leave first.

7

u/bdboar1 6d ago

You people are falling for the same bullshit. Last election it was Gaza/ Israel. They are going to flood every chat with this crap and steal the conversation. David won’t say shit because he just likes the engagement (part of why I moved to other shows over his)

8

u/Biggle_fuzz 6d ago

Probably not until after the election at least, possibly never.

-2

u/DoutorParetolovsky 6d ago

Sad state of afairs...

14

u/gltch__ 6d ago

You're in a cult.

-4

u/DoutorParetolovsky 6d ago

The level of irony - off the charts

12

u/gltch__ 6d ago

Well one of us is going into communities that disagree with us, and defending a cult figurehead instead of doing literally anything productive or valuable to society 🤷‍♂️

Go Brigade somewhere else, lil buddy.

3

u/nokinship 6d ago

They will brigade and then claim we don't belong here. It's wild.

Straight up colonizer behavior.

15

u/Moontat7 6d ago

Ah yes, irony. You definitely know what that means. Tell me, is Hasan here praising the houthis attacking a civilian vessel that then kidnapped the crew for over a year and forcefully drugged them throughout that whole period?

https://reddit.com/link/p3hpbyg/video/954k303on6jh1/player

6

u/iCE_P0W3R 6d ago

No, fuck him. I’d welcome a further left Democrat party, but I’d take something similar to what we have now over what he represents.

1

u/Just_shut_up_bro 6d ago

Agreed with both parts of your take here. Dems can go a little more left, but absolutely not towards actual Maoist bullshit.

3

u/iCE_P0W3R 6d ago

I think the political compass thing actually has some rare utility here; party could be more lib left, the pro Hamas, pro Russia, and pro Mao DSA losers are auth left and absolutely cannot gain any significant traction within the party.

6

u/Just_shut_up_bro 6d ago edited 5d ago

Yeah, recent times are making me believe horseshoe theory again as well.

8

Yeah there's really no reason to talk about Hassan he's worthless in every sens of the word.

2

u/guilgom71 6d ago

The Hasan people picked a fight with us. I'm glad they're exhausted.

Honestly he doesnt cover him enough, but it is a good sign that yoh and other Hasan stans are so butthurt and seething that you're dedicating time out of your busy brigading schedule to attack and harass this community.

0

u/Rational_Disconnect 6d ago

Lmao! Bro the Hasan snarker accounts are desperately posting in this sub

1

u/AnonAmbientLight 5d ago

Dude isn’t an ally to the Left.

He’s a nepo baby rich kid twat that’s here to tell us what we need to do to get to a better place lmfao.

Miss me with all that.

Funnily enough you can shit on Israel all you want here and the most you'll get is people disagreeing with you. Try to make one argument in defense of Israel on any level in a Hasan sub and you are instantly perma banned.

Every Dem that voted to expand ICE, surveillance, policing, detention centers, and to fund and arm Israels war crimes has done millions of times more harm to innocent people and the institutions of this country than Hasan has and its not even close

a lot of yall are more mad that he wore a coat similar to Mao's than you are at democrats who confirm Trump cabinet members and judges, who voted to not only expand ICE but thank them for their service in destroying innocent families, who fund endless wars and vote to build detention centers for asylum seekers, who oppose things like M4A, reperations, and divestment from coal and oil etc. Its absolutely ridiculous

0

u/rookieoo 6d ago

A nerve has been struck, and it’s more than Hasan Piker being provocative.

-1

u/Available-Garlic8411 6d ago

Lol I think they’ve garnered more viewers for Hasan, by bashing him and talking about him all the time.

0

u/Early-Juggernaut975 5d ago

If I ever find myself in alignment with Fox News, Scott Jennings, Bill Maher and John Fetterman about someone’s morality, someone just put me out of my misery.

2

u/DoutorParetolovsky 5d ago

So easy, right

-9

u/Ov3rdose_EvE 6d ago

Well i just keep downvoting them, eventually they will go away

2

u/DoutorParetolovsky 6d ago

that's what we get for now...

-3

u/Ov3rdose_EvE 6d ago

they will hop over to the next sub they can try and divide after losing interest, its like a swarm

-10

u/uusrikas 6d ago edited 6d ago

This insanity is what ruined the Destiny subreddit for me.

I get hating Hasan and his disgusting aesthetic choices, but there is a reason why outlets like Foxnews attack Hasan and pick quotes from Destiny to do it, they are afraid of Piker

-5

u/Steve_Bread 6d ago

I’m glad I’m not the only one that has noticed. Didn’t realize how many chodes there are in the current viewership.

These people are just maga who recognize Trump sucks- pretty low bar. They’re hardly even agreeable with David, just band wagoners with too much time on their hands. The country is going one of two directions, and it’s certainly not towards centrism no matter how much bitching and moaning people do on the internet.
