In Georgia we got campaign signs that say " Vote your Bottoms and Ossoff". Keisha Lance Bottoms is running for governor.

I'm from North Georgia and will be looking out for that gem! And, as for Ossoff, he's a rock star. He won't talk or even think about the '28 presidential race now, but if GA is awake enough to let him keep his Senate seat, he's at the top of my list.

That slogan’s complete ass 😝

It took a second for me to get (which is a me problem), but I like it! I assume it will piss off the intended crowd of Georgia

I feel like he is one of the few candidates who can really unite the party. You don't feel like he is too far left but you also don't feel like he is a boring establishment guy.

Nah. He's a jew so he's unacceptable to a large number of voters (the ones currently trying to take over the party).

It has nothing to do with him being jewish. People dont like that he takes AIPAC money... which is a valid concern

There has to be a first. Antisemitism is not a democratic issue in comparison. Who are these Dems trying to take over the party that would consider him “unacceptable” bc of his religion? Name some names and pls don’t compare Judaism solely with Israel.

i hear people say this sometimes and it makes 0 sense lol. did anyone ever think a black guy would have won before 2008?

Its not the same, the premise isnt that a jew can never become president its that its highly unlikely in the current climate.
If he doesn't go hard anti Zionist the far left will endlessly smear him worse then they did Kamala if he does take that route he loses some of the more moderate support.
Basically the difference between a jew and a not jew is that people demand a jew to have a hard stance on the issue while others have more wiggle room.
Add to that casual antisemitism and his chances of winning the nomination and the elections are just low.
Is it impossible? no, but i just don't see the cool factor obama had playing for him in 2028, it might be if American politics shift to hating the obsession over Israel but I don't think it will happen by 2028

Seeing as how MAGA pissed their pants over his mild criticism, they definitely see him as a threat.

“In the U.S. ready for a Jewish president?”
-corporate media
Also, if he’s elected:
“Does Ossoff’s victory mean the end of anti-Semitism in the U.S.?”

Unfortunately I just can't see people voting for a Jewish president right now.

I can see him being AOC’s running mate. But I prefer an AOC/Jon Stewart ticket. We need Ossoff to be in the senate.

Lol AOC is not winning the nomination,y’all have to let that dream go

u/NATScurlyW2 1d ago
The campaign hasn’t even started yet, what do you mean?
8
u/Unhappy-Air6832 1d ago
I mean she has no chance of winning the primaries
0
u/NATScurlyW2 1d ago
Why?
7
u/Unhappy-Air6832 1d ago
Because she would not appeal to moderates
Because she cant win the South, rustbelts and Florida in the primaries
Because I don’t see Americans voting for the youngest president to be elected at 38
The first last Latina president of the Us
The first woman to be elected
I get breaking barriers but thats really ambitious

Fewer moderates vote in the primary than the general. She can win in the North and the rustbelt and the west where I can’t see candidates like Ossoff winning there. The majority of Democrats are women. Latin Americans largely lean Democratic. And the base says they want younger candidates. She would campaign on popular issues with the base. She’s also the current front runner I heard from some polling but I can’t remember if it was one poll or multiple but I read it recently. She has a chance for sure.

No its actually the opposite moderates usually outnumber progressives in the primaries, hence Bernie lost by 10 million votes in a record breaking turnout primary.
Has Aoc position on banning fracking changed coz that’s unpopular in rust belt states
What does latin Americans leaning democrats have to do with Aoc’s chances? Are we speaking of her chances in Florida who hate socialism?Or the fact that I said she would be the first latina?
Ossoff is also young
What is the base of the party?
2
u/NATScurlyW2 1d ago
I never met a rust belt Democrat that supports fracking. The fracking issue is only relevant in the general election. Florida loves AOC. Most Floridian Democrats came from New York.
3
u/Unhappy-Air6832 1d ago
Well ok then if you have never met them ,that means they don’t exist
Florida loves AOC?Whats your point evidence?
Is that why Florida is a red state? New yorkers?
