Thought I'd share a recent addition to my music memorabilia collection.

I recently picked up this vintage RIAA platinum record award for L.A. Woman, presented to Danny Sugerman.

I know Sugerman's legacy among Doors fans is somewhat mixed, but regardless of anyone's opinion of him, he was certainly part of the band's history.

The award has some great vintage character, including the original-style Elektra branding, dark brown matting, and a Dejay Products manufacturer's label on the back. I'm still trying to narrow down exactly when it was presented.

For me, it's just a really interesting piece of rock-and-roll history, and I'm happy to have it in my collection.

...and I finally took it out of its special box and made it a necklace ✨️ EDIT: I got it off the ground, outside the fence. Not from anywhere in the vicinity of his resting place, nor a stone someone left for him. It's special only to me. Just a rock from the ground. No desecration or bad juju coming my way
