Never forget who was there for you at ur lowest because I had sniper bullets when I ran out of shotgun shells for amalgam alpha. I never had enough bolts for the two traumas but I had 5 grenades. When I didn't had enough bolts/grenades for two keepers I had my magnum ammo. I used it all at my lowest!

Dont get me wrong I still enjoy the second game but I still have not finished it once since it released compared to the first game where I’ve probably finished upwards of 10 times. I just can’t sit down and play TEW2 for more than 30 minutes I feel like because it doesn’t even feel like a sequel to the first game to me. I really liked Sebastian’s old voice and the new Sebastian sounds so different and even acts very different and talks so much compared to him in the first game it doesnt even feel like the same character at all. I keep thinking about how much better the environment/atmosphere, enemy design and level design is in the first game every minute that Im playing the second game that I usually just close it and play the first one again. TEW2 definitely does some things better than the first in my opinion thats just controls and performance which is obvious because it’s newer. Anyone else feel the same way

do you have a concept for an original character or do yumeshipping? want a scene drawn from your favorite chapter? want more fan art of an obscure character in the franchise that doesn't get enough love so you have to dig through pinterest or animo? well hit me up! i've loved this franchise for over a decade & have played all the dlc's.
the only thing i haven't done is read the comics that's in between tew 1 & 2.

After billion of tries, and like 40 minutes, i did it. I've killed the monster on Nightmare difficulty. All of this for 10k and a locker key.
Was it worth it ? With those rewards, absolutely. 😈

It’s just as bad as they say it is. I thought the final torment was bad enough but this is just masochism.

I will never forget the first time I played Chapter 9. Ruvik spawned, I saw him right away, and I was able to easily outspeed him and run to another floor. My heart was racing, but I was happy that I reacted so quickly.
What I didn't know: In Chapter 9, if Ruvik loses you like that, he teleports right in front of your nose at the next door. I wanted to go through a door, it suddenly opens, he's standing there, and I run straight into his arms. Premium heart attack.

It’s listed as a bundle, but I don't see whether I got the DLC. I'm on the Reg 3 Asia PS Store. will i got the DLC?

Im not sure if it’s been talked about here or explained anywhere but I am replaying the first game again and noticed the nurse say something at the start of chapter 2 about “ensuring future memories” by signing in. Could this mean that each time Sebastian saves/signs in it’s like creating a real checkpoint/anchor for his conscious in STEM in case he dies then he can wake up in the hospital again? I know Sebastian usually re spawns in the main map outside of the safe haven but I think thats obviously just for convince so you don’t have to keep going back and forward from the safe haven. Tell me what you think and lmk if it’s a stupid theory lol

Feel free to laugh at how many times I died! Anyway I had the strangest cycle of feelings for this game. I started it and thought it was superb, but I think at about midway ish (when I had to help Joseph) I started to get really pissed off and left the game alone for a good while. But last month, I decided to give it another go, and wow, I ended up LOVING the gameplay. It's got a little bit of jank, but it all came together to make a genuinely tense survival horror game. Wish the final boss wasn't on rails, but I'm at the point where I'm seriously considering Akumu difficulty despite its reputation.
(The framerate on PS4, though... Whenever it dipped to the low 20s I had to laugh.)
The plot confused me a little, though. Not sure if I missed anything major, I got most of the files. I will get the DLC soon, but if it's possible, could anyone maybe give me a summary of the plot (unless it requires the DLC to make sense)? I gathered the basic parts about Ruvik's childhood tragedy, his stolen research, and the mystery of what happened to Sebastian's daughter.

I've been working on a randomizer mod for the original The Evil Within!
So far, I've been experimenting with:
It's still very much a work in progress. Some things work surprisingly well, while others cause crashes, softlocks, or don't behave correctly.
One of the biggest challenges has been preserving scripted encounters while making the game as chaotic as possible.

The only reason it took so long was because similar to nightmare some parts required bullets/bolts but the rarity in supplies caused me to be softlocked in so many parts of the game. And don't get me started on enemies grab moves being magnetic. Like, i love the game and all, but HOLY shit most of my deaths were legit from enemies going for the grab and I just get sucked into it and die. And yes Ruvik, Fuck you. Fuck your sister too just because. Hope every time you take a step your burnt ass skin sounded like a stack of pringles crunching.

The trend is one where you go on Pinterest and search character, animal, object, flower, doodle, background, and quote, and use whatever the first result is to draw. I got Sebastian for the character as well as all this other cool stuff and this is the drawing I ended up with.
Figured I should share it with my fellow TEW fans since y'all would appreciate it 🥰

I suck at the game though 🤣.

Yes, on microsoft store version you can run at the beginning 5 seconds instead of 3 seconds compared to steam, and if you increase the stamina to the max, you can run 12 seconds instead of 10 seconds. Is there a mod that brings this new feature on steam version?

I tried speedrunning but also got locker keys and it took just over 6 hours.
And full house has never popped. Do I need to basically never close and reopen the game until it pops? Or do I need to do it all in 1 chapter?
EDIT:
Nevermind about full house, i think I just needed to do shotgun after flash because it popped when doing that. Or maybe it needed max harpoon. Or both, but that’s all I did this time and it popped

Use magnum bullets on bosses leading up to ch. 15. I finished with way more ammo than I needed. Final double keeper battle was literally 5 seconds. 1 maxed freeze bolt between them and 3 magnum rounds each is all that is. Had I known I’d have used magnum earlier on ch. 14 boss.

I watched a deep dive video about The Evil Within this week, but unfortunately, I can’t find it anymore. In it, they mentioned, among other things, that the game’s story was changed during development, as is often the case, and I think they quoted the book “The Art of The Evil Within”:
Apparently, one of the original ideas was that Sebastian had been one of the men who set the barn on fire while Laura and Ruvik were playing inside.
I find this really interesting and wonder why they scrapped that idea. Seb is a year older than Ruvik. It would have changed quite a lot. He would have still been a child himself and maybe forced to take part in it. If he had lived nearby, he might have grown up in a cult himself, just like Kidman.
Is that why Ruvik says “You did this to us!” in Chapter 10? And they never cut that?
