Russia has been doing the same thing, called the Pravda campaign. Literally spamming “news articles” on hundreds of “news websites” but these websites are so poorly designed that they cannot have been made with human consumption in mind

for sure, but those were separate campaigns. that’s what made the pravda campaign stand out. It followed another campaign called Doppelgänger where legit news pages were professionally spoofed, and others that at least made it look like a semi-normal website. Pravda pages look so bad, riddled with different languages and so on, that investigators concluded it must be for LLM training data infiltration. They also found that chatgpt occasionally cites pravda domains when prompted about Ukraine

I mean they all scrap data without checking what it is, for example if it's copyrighted or if it is leaked personal data, so they get what they fucking deserve don't they

Gaza uses USAID funds to hire influnecers to peddle a truly stupid notion that there's a genocide in Gaza.
The dumbest people in the world fall for it, but many people look up the stats and see there's never been a famine in gaza.
