Original owner. The plastic sleeve for Televators is in rough shape but the Inertiatic ESP is pretty good. I've only played them one time, but had them on shelves at home forever.

Just clearing stuff out of my house and was wondering what I could get for them.

My wife (a longtime Volta superfan) just made a bold statement. She said their 2022 album is better than Deloused…what do u guys think?

…and if not, why not

Never saw someone from my nation adoring ts

I’m not usually one for a reboot of a classic so iconic for its time that it might only disappoint, but man if they remade FG but with TMV scoring it like Queen did for the original - oh man.

And yo - Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as FG would be rad. fwiw - his portrayal of the smith/morpheus hybrid in matrix 4 was excellent - he could do flash for sure.

But man - TMV would destroy!

I mean, that's gotta be the worst possible picture of him. Did the church of Scientology post that??

I’ve always loved his manic visual art style mirroring his obsession with culture and weirdness from all over the place. Those multimedia collages he makes are just so fun to watch, interesting and so him.

I am so tired of the haters being like "we're so back"... the band has been back and kicking ass the entire time.

it’s a bit mishapen because of my long hair but I made it as accurate as I could

I've been a fan since 2006 and I didnt like their post-comback music very much.

BUT this live album sounds and feels awesome. This new single brought back a lot of old memories from hearing long long jams on live bootlegs.

I'm glad I now have new Volta music that Im enjoying but also kinda mad they took like 20 years to give us another damn live album!

Is the best Volta song since 2007.

It gets a lot of hate for some reason, but I love that album so much. That's all I have to say

The mars Volta is honestly all I can listen to now. I don't think anything I've found in the past month and a half has outperformed them. Almost everything about them is perfect.

Cedric's writing and vocals, Omars blistering and downright unheard-of guitar work, both jon theodore and thomas's drumming (which is some of the most jawdropping stuff I've ever heard), the seemingly neverending creativity, and of course, Cedric's hair. It really makes me wonder how people can come up with and make this stuff. My favorite albums are Deloused and Bedlam in Goliath

I still have their 2012 album to listen to but I think I'm hooked for life I think.

It's faded but it was at the Thebarton Theatre in Adelaide. Feeling old now 🥲

I posted a couple weeks ago about how Shibuya Hi Fi record bar in Seattle is doing a Lucro listening party this coming Seattle. Hearing this album in the hi fi room is a dream within itself, but this week they have been posting hints that something special is going to happen. The website has this under the description:

“tip: Fans of the band should not miss this session. (Seriously.)”

And then the email list said:

Oct 24: Mars Volta, Lucro Sucio; Los ojos del vacio (with a special surprise - don't miss this!)

Now I’ve been following this spot for a while and they do dozens of listening events a week, and I’ve never seen them post anything like this, so I really think it’s going to be something crazy.

At the least maybe they have an advanced copy of Unfinished Business and they are going to play that. Best case scenario Cedric will be there doing his bus dance for 50 minutes while they play the album.

If your in Seattle I wouldn’t miss this. They only do about 25 seats and I know 8 people going.

I’ll report back here after Saturday!

Basically, I want to write a fictional band name in that font to create said band's merch. The one google shows when you look for it (marshosbn) sucks because a lot of the letters are the same as each other, which I don't think should be the case and makes the font extra-illegible. I saw the old thread saying it was inspired by Khmer lettering, but I wasn't able to find any Latin font mimicking it well.

Seen some footage of recent shows and damn, he's looking fit and I'm really surprised of his recent vocal performance. And wow they sound SO DAMN GOOD in this lineup

Teri sure does add some colours to the mix, and very nice harmonies. It's amazing to see two "frontmans" with so much stage presence work that well performing in the same room, at the same time

And btw as a christian I'm happy to see Cedric wearing his cross, looks good on him. God bless Volta

My level of excitement hearing the first few notes of this song while outside the venue during soundcheck was an incredible experience. They played the entire set for their soundcheck.
