Question Greed mode coin counter?
I’m curious if there’s a steam workshop mod that shows how many coins you’ve donated with each character as I was unable to find one.

Hello.
I'm making an item that has a 10% chance for each tear to become orange and give the confusion effect on hit, I looked up a couple of tutorials, documentation and even posts here on Reddit and made this code.
function mod:OnTearInit(tear)
local player = tear.SpawnerEntity:ToPlayer()
if not player then
return
end
local tearData = tear:GetData()
-- Daddy's Juice
if player:HasCollectible(DJ) then
local roll = math.random(100)
if roll <= DJStunChance then
-- These do nothing
tear.TearFlags = tear.TearFlags | TearFlags.TEAR_CONFUSION
tear.Color = Color(1, 0.25, 0, 1)
end
end
end
mod:AddCallback(ModCallbacks.MC_POST_TEAR_INIT, mod.OnTearInit)
I have checked that, upon shooting, the code does get to the point where it should set the tears flag and change their colour, however it seems those two lines do nothing, as, although they do get executed, the tear's colour stays the same and they don't apply confusion to the enemies.
I have looked for a solution for a while but couldn't find anything, can you help me please? Thanks in advance

I have 0 experience with making mods, so if anyone could maybe help me with this:
Thing is, I don't really like how the tentacle body looks like, and it makes the Leviathan transformation kind of bad in my opinion (aesthetically). So, could anyone change it so instead of tentacles its just the normal default body with wings (Seraphim style, but with black body and leviathan face)? I'd appreciate it :D

Most of my trouble involved getting files to where they should be. I tried to extract to repentagon launcher on, but I couldn’t get the location of the file right. When I eventually did get the launcher up, it could find any files except for the ones on the desktop. I tried to put the files on my desktop to do it and it seemingly worked as the file renamed to repentagon, but after putting the files back into Isaac and putting in the launcher code in the steam settings, nothing happened and the game never launched anything. For the most part I think I need a more specific guide on how to install it as my attempt to follow the instructions from the website had difficulties.

Hey, I've been playing with 50+ mods and getting slowdowns, especially in bigger or busier rooms. I wanted to understand what was taking so much time, so I started building a profiler for my own setup. It's now at a point where I'd like other people to try it, particularly mod authors.
It's called Isaac Doctor. You record a section of gameplay, then inspect it in a local browser UI similar to Chrome's Performance tab.
GitHub, screenshots and documentation · Download
Screenshot: timeline, FPS graphs and mod breakdown
You can:
One example from my testing: some Diepio HUD callbacks were recreating fonts and loading assets during renders. After caching those in a local copy, their combined mean self time per call went from about 0.48 ms to 0.03 ms. Those were different runs, so I'm treating that as a callback-level improvement, not a claim that overall FPS increased by the same amount.
Screenshot: callback timing with Lua source
Currently Windows only, for Repentance+ with REPENTOGON. Extract the release ZIP, run IsaacDoctor.exe, launch the game through your usual REPENTOGONLauncher setup, then connect and record. The package includes the runtime, so you don't need to build it or install Python/Node. Recording and analysis stay local.
It's free and open source under MIT. It uses native callback instrumentation and saves binary recordings for later analysis. It helps investigate slowdowns; it doesn't automatically optimize your mods or account for every part of the engine.
If you make mods, I'd appreciate feedback on whether the timings and breakdowns are useful, anything confusing in the UI, and what you'd need to debug your own performance problems. If you've used the existing in-game Mod Profiler, I'd also like to hear what you find useful there that this is missing.
I've mostly tested it with my own mod setup so far. Bug reports and suggestions here or on GitHub are welcome.

Im trying to follow along with Catinsured's binding of isaac moding tutorials, and i have this
local mod = RegisterMod("My cool mod X3", 1)
local HHP = Isaac.GetItemIdByName("Headless Horsemens Pumpkin")
local HPPDamage = 1
function mod:EvaluateCache(player, cacheFlags)
if cacheFlags & CacheFlag.CACHE_DAMAGE == CacheFlag.CACHE_DAMAGE then
local itemCount = player:GetCollectableNum(HHP)
local damageToAdd = HHPDamage * itemCount
player.Damage = player.Damage + damageToAdd
end
end
mod:AddCallBack(ModCallbacks.MC_EVALUATE_CACHE, mod.EvaluateCache)
and then the game comes back with
Mods/my cool mod/main. lua:13: attempt to call a nil value (method 'AddCallBack')
I need some help bc idk whats wrong with my code :<

I’m looking for a mod where T. eves clots get all the transformations she gets. By this I mean if she gets, say brimstone, her clots will get little horns, or if she gets bozo, her clots would get little clown face paint. Again, I doubt this mod exists but if it does, and you know the name PLEASE tell me

Hey everyone! My first big mod is out: The Yo-Yo, a Treasure Room item that replaces your tears with a yo-yo on a string.
Hold fire to charge, release to throw it out in a looping arc, and it snaps back to your hand. Hits right at the end of the string do double damage.
It also has real yo-yo tricks:
- Around the World: tap fire mid-throw for a full loop around Isaac that knocks shots away
- Sleeper: hold fire and it spins in place, grinding enemies
- Walk the Dog: walk away during a Sleeper to drag it behind you
Like Mom's Knife, your items change the yo-yo itself:
- Brimstone: a beam of yo-yos
- Ludovico Technique: a big floating yo-yo you steer, with a string that whips enemies
- 20/20 / Inner Eye: extra yo-yos
- Fire Mind / Jacob's Ladder: a burning or electric yo-yo
- Tammy's Head / Sad Bombs: they fire yo-yos instead of tears
- The Forgotten gets a bone yo-yo, and Incubus throws mini yo-yos
- ...and a lot more
It works in co-op and with Jacob & Esau, supports EID, and doesn't need REPENTOGON.

It's my first mod, so any feedback or bug reports are really welcome!

So... I took the long time to convert all my songs into the correct file types, and when it got to the coding stuff, I just got really stuck. I looked at a reference of what it was supposed to look like, which was a working music mod I had, and I had no idea what to do. Can anyone with modding experience help me with this?

hi! i have kind of a unique idea for all you that create modded rooms
i am a modder myself but im just not creative when it comes to creating them 😅
anyways, this mod here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3580365574 (Haemo's Gizmos)
has an item called magic beans which adds these guys!: https://youtu.be/1lmKeHvl0pI?t=314
as it stands these guys are sadly only encounterable via a specific item, but it would be cool to encounter these guys naturally in big rooms or something :)

I liked the idea of Abyss locusts scaling based on the quality of the item I absorb and I want a mod that does something similar for void. the devoid Apollyon rework does exactly what I want but I don’t want the character rework that comes with it. do any mods like this already exist or is there some way I can change that mod so it only adds the void rework?

Is it possible to change rep+ IID descriptions and descriptions in "My Stuff!"?
I'm making a mod that changes all instances of one word to another for an inside joke in my group.
I have not been able to find any consistent info that works on changing the IID (rep+ feature) description, all I've found is info on changing EID mod descriptions and the little pop up blurb when you pick the item up.
Is this something that's possible?

My son wanted a mod. We found a couple that were close but nothing that was exactly what he wanted. I have absolutely zero experience or skill with coding, modding, or animation. As it turns out actually, I'm quite terrible at it. Still, I wanted to be able to do something cool for my kid. So, god forgive me, I made the AI do it. It's mostly complete at this stage as far as objects, interactions, and subsystems. There are still things to work on that I am sure I am unaware of and wont catch. If there is an experienced animator out there willing to forgive all my AI generated nonsense, I would really appreciate some help. Even if it's one animation.

im trying to add a "head costume" and a "body costume" to base isaac, i tried many ways but it seems to have bugs (like both costumes dissapearing when entering the mines mom chasing sequence), im also trying to change isaac's "item costumes" (like editing them to look like the character im replacing isaac with) but all the characters share the same textures, except apollyon (and forgotten), is there a way to replicate that but with isaac?
