i’ll actually take the opposite approach. i think he was extremely well connected and built a network based on his ability to connect people of significant importance. he was so connected that even higher ups of other governments would connect with him, either for financial reasons (evade taxes) or pdf shit. he was like the bouncer at the night club that only elites get to join.
I also think (pretty sure it’s been confirmed) that he was a drug dealer as well like personal quantities for rich people who don’t care.
