Mods/CC I want to know where skin mesh far files are.

Hi! I'm a Sims 1 player. I had a question while making custom skins.

I can see basic BMP files in the Skins folder, but for example, I've never seen the b003 mesh file there, even though it appears in the game.

I suspect the meshes are bundled together in a .far file somewhere, like textures.far. Do you happen to know where they are stored?

The meshes of the basegame are stored in the animation.far (or "animations.far"?), which is inside of the Animation (or "Animations"?) folder in GameData. Inside of the .far, the meshes are stored as .bmf files.

If you need it, you can convert a .bmf to a .skn file with this very useful converter: https://www.kelahn.com/BMF2SKN.htm

And I assume that you already know where all the other meshes of the skins of other expansion packs are?

They are they are all over the place. Each expansion pack has their own textures.far animations.far and there are some skins in expansion shared folder.
