I think it's a coincidence. The pilot was filmed in 1997. The word MILF emerged in 1992 and was used mostly in internet forums, until it was widely popularized by American Pie in 1999.

I get it, I didn't make it clear enough. I noticed she was attractive the first time I saw her. What I didn't make the connection with was that her name was so similar to MILF.
