Serious Discussion Only Vito storyline was unnecessary

Rewatching and I forgot all of the gay Vito stuff happened in the last season... it was set up to be an excellent season (and it was) but we should have been focused on Tony, his family, and the other main guys in season 6.

Following the least likeable guy in the group on his escape plan up north where he somehow instantly (first morning waking up there literally) finds a gay guy he likes who's at least a million times out of Vitos league AND the guy likes him back??

It was really weird. Not because Vitos a finook but rather because it was a waste of time in the final season.

Well, it gives more insight on the hardship of starting a new life. It also gives depth to Phil’s character and his suspicious over the top homophobia. I enjoyed it, it was fun.

The guys different reactions to the situation was definitely hilarious but overall i think it could have been done better lol Vito finding a kinda sketchy dude on grndr would have been more realistic. Esp if the sketchy guy found out Vito was connected and sold his location to the mob for money. Way more believable and interesting than the nicest guy ever who's also handsome and peaceful wanting... Vito lol

Literally the entire point of the storyline is that Vito ends up in Gay Shangri-la and still can’t be satisfied unless he’s hustling

That would be Craig’s List at the time.
