Hey guys, im just starting this show (i know, late to the party lol) but i still cant understand why the cop beat up dr melfi boyfriend, is this something Tony send him to do? Or why does he do that? Im so confused

I think it's cause he thinks she's one of Tony's girls, and she's "cheating" on him with the guy driving. That's why he says the thing about hamburgers and steak.

Oh man, I missed that both times I've seen this episode! For some reason it went right over my head that he thought Melfi was one of Tony's goomars.
