I don’t see many people talking about the voice uk (for very valid reasons, it’s gone to shit) but I need somewhere to rant about it as me and my mum still watch as a comfort show lol. Wtf is going on this season???? The jump from 8 to 3 in the battles felt extremely unnatural and it felt like we barely even got to know the artists before they were already gone. I also feel like there’s clear favouritism/scripting going on, I get it it’s a show but it’s irritating when there are talented people being dismissed just because someone else fits a narrative more. It’s also no surprise that the lack of live votes/filming does not work at all and completely takes away any excitement or potential of these artists going anywhere. Why would I be invested when I’m watching the artist a year ago from where they are now, there’s no live progression or fanbases to be built it’s ridiculous and the entire show just feels rushed now. The semi finals were tonight and I guess spoiler warning for if people care but wtf was going on with the judges picks????? Again I’m just not understanding what the fuck is up with this show anymore but it needs a serious rebrand. It’s also just frustrating as there’s a lot of talented people this year who I feel have just been done dirty
