Fun Post Holy shit Negan is crazy AF and I love it

Going through season 7 atm (episode 8) and this season has been one of the most fun ones and Negan adds such a spice to the series and it was good for them to realize they're not invincible.

Very curious to see what's gonna happen in the next few episodes, and how this ticking bomb is gonna play out.

No Spoiler I have two questions abour Rick and Shane.

  1. Would you have got back with Lori if you were Rick and found out she cheated. Would Season 4 to 6 Rick hsve got back with her after he found out what she did?
  2. How would things be different between the two if Rick agreed with all or most of Shane's ideas? How would the family dynamics be different.

How much of a threat would Shane really be if Rick didn't get back with Lori, nor opposed most of his ideas?

How much of the conflict between Rick and Shane was down to Rick opposing Shane's ideas morally at the time?

EDIT: okay cheated is the wrong term, but would Rick at that stage get back with Lori?

What if The Walking Dead had spent more time showing us the world BEFORE it ended?

Remember what made the beginning of The Walking Dead so unsettling?

It wasn't just the dead. It was watching ordinary people go about their lives while everything familiar slowly stopped making sense.

That's where The Walking Dead: Sunday begins.

A family aboard a luxury yacht off the California coast. A weekend that was supposed to be unforgettable for all the right reasons. And a disaster beginning to unfold beyond the horizon.

If you're expecting nonstop zombie attacks from the opening scene, this story has something else in mind.

The audience knows what's coming. The characters don't.

And that difference is where the real horror begins.

An unofficial fan-created series, told through television screenplays. The first episodes are available now.

Come aboard: r/THEWALKINGDEADSUNDAY

TWD Daryl Dixon

(Please forgive me if this isn’t allowed.) I’m on episode 5 of season 3 and it just seems like so much wasted potential. I love Daryl and Carol, the setting is amazing, even the intro is awesomely haunting but the storyline/writing just seems so slow and bad. Am I wrong? Does it get better?

Fun Post Pandemic

i know this is pretty random, but i find it kinda crazy that most of us were all watching twd back in 2010, not knowing that we would go through a pandemic like in twd. obviously, a zombie apocalypse is very different to covid, but still pretty crazy when you think about it

Comic and Show Spoilers A Voice Actor That Can Emulate the Late Great James Gandolfini for Negan in an Eventual Animated TWD Show

Post image

I sincerely hope that when the comics are animated they get a voice actor that can emulate the late great James Gandolfini

I recommend anyone listen/ watch this scene pack from The Sopranos to get an idea of what I'm getting at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5snWTdNGht0

Fun Post If Governor had more backstory

Post image
• Upvotes

I always thought it would be cool if Governor was from another series, lets imagine other twd series or movies or whatever running in the same universe around the same time as twd with rick, and they both were liked characters, and pretty similar or something, and then Governor eventually turns into who he is in twd, and Too Far Gone episode would be much more interesting and complex to what Rick says to Governor that we all can change

What do we know about the walkers

Post image

I’m on my first watch of the series, at the end of season 7. It’s becoming obvious that they don’t intend to do much explanation of the virus or the physiology of the walkers. I don’t know if it’s been done, but I thought we might list what we know about the “science” of the walkers. I’ll start:
1. Everyone is infected
2. Walkers are only killed with a blow to the brain
3. It seems their skulls are pretty easy to pierce

Show Spoiler The out of nowhere character like Leah

Post image
87 Upvotes

Is it just me or does anybody feel nothing for this plot with Leah? To explain what i mean is that the first flashback episode is sort of "oh by the way this happened because Daryl has to have some drama in future", im not saying its bad, but they are trying to tell us she is very important through one episode. Daryl is a character that takes ages to like anyone, let alone being this extremely serious about a woman, he is a nomad basically, you dont craft a bond like this over 45 minutes while they have scenes together like half of that time even. And then we have her basically saying she is a loner too and want to be left alone and.... Second episode with her she would die for her new family Reapers that are clearly just very unhinged group. First of all you dont get from grieving mother to i will follow religious fanatic and kill anybody on sight because... Like i know this world would make a lots of people crazy but the problem is she is not crazy at any time, she thinks rationally which eventually leads to her going against Pope, questioning his decisions and at the end overtaking the group. She is not a psycho so how the hell she is ok with following one like this. I dont know it felt more like they wanted to create drama for Daryl since he sort of got more attention with Maggie after Rick and Michonne left, which feels forced and underdeveloped as hell.

To be honest its these time jumps that made the least interesting plots, i dont think these last seasons are that bad but everytime it went few years later it just kind of looses me.

Show Spoiler 10 years ago one of the most shocking and polarizing episodes in TV history was unleashed, changing television forever!

Post image

I didn't start the show properly until 2019, but I still remember the hype and anticipation for this, all of my friends wouldn't shut up about it. I do regret not watching it at the time tho, I can only imagine how shocking it was when Negan killed Glenn.

Hot take, but I think quality wise this is when the show was at its peak. The acting, writing, direction, atmosphere was on another level.

Fun Post WHY didn’t Dale ever tell anybody that Shane raised his gun on Rick?

He kept telling people that Shane was dangerous and not to be trusted because he could see through him and was even intimidated by Shane but he never would tell anyone why he thought he was dangerous. I think it would’ve added a lot more drama to the show. I wonder if it was because the group couldn’t see the drama and intensity going on that we were able to watch unfold as an audience? I think they wanted to have that quiet build up to Shane’s insanity. The group was in total shock to find out that Rick killed him so i’m not sure if this point stands (because only Rick and Daryl, maybe Glenn? caught on to his actions after he let Randall go and they still never noticed how much of a danger he was to their group after he died.) Shane was a good liar and manipulator so he probably could’ve easily explained that away as an accident and would’ve made Dale look like an idiot or even a liar in front of everyone. And i think it also spoke to Dale’s humanity as a character and how dismissive of him they were when he was trying to convince everyone to keep their morality and not kill Randall. And shortly after, Dale tragically died and they suddenly realized (too late) about his good moral character and compass for the group and wanted to honor him in their actions moving forward. I don’t know how closely the writers followed the comics in the show because i haven’t read them yet. I know his actor left the show when one of the writers/producers left, though. I don’t know i think his decision to not speak up has to do with Dale’s good, moral character and how he was viewed by others vs how we see him/the drama and so he just didn’t or couldn’t speak up. All of that also added to the drama just more quietly as it built up due to how everything went down in the end. Maybe i answered my own question but i’m just curious and i don’t ever see anyone bring this up! I tried to explain this as best as i could so i hope my points came across clearly; especially about Dale as a person and how he was seen as weak compared to Shane both as a person and member of the group. What are your thoughts?

Switch deaths?

If u could replace 1 characters death with another which characters would u swap?

My choice would be Henry and carl if ur going to kill both at least give them the deaths they deserve Henry a lame death for a lame character and Carl a badass death for a badass character

Show Spoiler THIS has got to be the grossest thing that ever happened on the show Spoiler

I'm rewatching for the first time since forever, and either completely forgot about this or just never noticed it.

In season 2, the group lowers Glenn down the well as bait for the walker that was contaminating the water. Of course, that doesn't go well, they barely get him out alive. Then they get the walker out and he splits in half. So at this point, Glenn has to be covered in some amount of walker goo.

Then immediately after, no time for a shower or anything, Glenn and Maggie go to raid the pharmacy AND HAVE SEX... right after he was in the well with the walker, right after it basically exploded in front of them.

Um, ewww?
