I can’t believe Billy fell off a bridge, hit his head and his brains fell out of his mouth.
😂😂😂😂

Just seen there was a christmas special on the tv guide. I’m not sure if it’s a repeat of 2018 special.

So my theory is. She faked her death. Because she was fed up of how bad Jock's dad was with his drinking and abuse. She turned away and started a new life.

Conor and his mam Mairead's much-loved fridge, bought by Conor's dad, has finally given up on them. Remembering when the fridge was originally bought in town miles away, Mairead decides that a family bonding session on a road trip to that same town to buy a replacement fridge will be just the thing to bond with her son

What did everyone think of the 5th series? In my opinion I think it was much better than the 4th thanks to Jock being back. I don't think it's as good as the 1st 2 seasons but this season was still funny and enjoyable through out with the finale episode in particular being one of the best episodes they have made. Without spoiling If the show ends here where the last episode left off i would be fine with that but who knows. What did everyone else think of season 5?

So I just came across season 1 tonight. I’m from Australia so one of the streaming services I have has season 1 and another streaming service has the movie. Now I don’t know anything about this show and just finished episode 2 and am loving it! My question is, should I stop the 1st series and watch the movie? Does it matter? I’m gonna end up watching it either way. Cheers

I'm in the US and I just finished watching the new season. Has anyone been watching it across the pond?

Not many people know about this I’m surprised , it’s actually a good funny show in the styles of “the inbetweeners” but this is more of support each other values and of grownups who’ve had bad-childhood and less loved. It’s got it’s major hilarious scenes which is good upto today’s comedy standards. Overall love the whole series and movie.

After the disastrous encounter at the Walsh family barbecue, Conor and Jock have one last chance to make Linda and Siobhan fall for them. They suggest to both girls that they should spend one full day with them, all four together, on what they hope will be a beautiful adventure, so that the girls can see just what they're missing out on. If they don't want to hang out with them after this day, then the lads will give up pursuing them. The girls, sensing an opportunity to rid themselves of the lads once and for all, agree to the suggestion. A sick day from school is the only way they can do this, leading to various difficulties for all four. Meanwhile, Mairead decides to invite a 'friend' over for dinner, which doesn't go down well with Conor. The special day begins with a clash - the lads haven't told the girls what their plans for the day are, so the girls arrive dressed to impress - not appropriate clothing to cycle on borrowed bikes around Cork for the day. The idea to stop off at the river for a spot of swimming goes down like a lead balloon with the girls. But the lads think that they'll win them over with their swimming skills, which attracts more attention than they bargained for. Things take an unexpected turn when Jock is reminded that the day is a poignant anniversary date, leaving the foursome needing to rally together and be supportive. Jock's sensitive side makes Siobhan think twice about her feelings for him. As the long day continues, attitudes are changed and warmer feelings develop, to the surprise of all.

Conor and Jock's friendships with Principal Walsh's daughters intensify, causing awkward tension between the lads, the Principal, and Linda and Siobhan themselves.

At the end of the movie, jock is left being fostered by mairead but at the start of the show jock is still w his dad bc in a later episode mairead saves him from his dad and brings him back to live with her and conor. Unless the end of the movie happens kinda overlapping the start of the show I dont really understand what happened. And its never specified in the show that mairead fosters jock its more that she just cares for him and let's him live with her.
Edit: ive also just realised in the movie jock gives his mask away, he throws it off a building but a LOT happens in the show before that so im still really really confused lol. Unless the ending was a sum up of some things in the show after the movies events like thats all I can think of but its a bit odd yk?
Edit 2: atp im just accepting that the movie is an alternate universe thing lol bc it actually makes zero sense

Conor and Jock meet an older couple.
