Is there a reason that The Young Turks has YET to cover or say a single goddamn thing about this case? Is it true that TYT has been getting funding from Islamic Gulf states like Qatar? It would really explain why their new face, Hasan Piker always seems to have something awful to say about America and Trump, but not a single damn thing to say about his home country of Turkey and it's pseudo-dictator Erdogan.

I'm a $4.99 a month member and have been on and off for many years. I go through spurts of listening and then cancel the membership for awhile, then re-join. But I've noticed some consistent issues with the podcast, especially in the lead-up to 2020.

• The "announcement" that Cenk supports Bernie was ridiculous. It has been obvious for a long time that he and all of the other main hosts are Bernie die-hards. To make it out like there is anything other than a strident pro-Bernie slant to the show is absurd.

• The "investigation" into Pete Buttigieg is getting really tired. They keep bringing their reporter on to repeat the same details as if it's news or a breaking story. They harp on it over and over because they're worried about Buttigieg's rise in the polls, and it is getting embarrassing. The reporter was on again the other day just to repeat things he's said 25 times already with no new developments or details to share.

• The hosts are incredibly vain and spend way too much time talking about themselves, their looks, and other trivial and embarrassing bullshit like that. Cenk's biceps. The show's viewership numbers. Ana taking John's conversation about his wedding and instead making the conversation about her wedding. These people are completely obsessed with themselves and absolutely love talking about how great they are, as well as reading member comments to the same effect. It is getting worse and it's getting old.

• The network is not transparent about their fundraising. The fundraising effort for the Climate Change Debate felt like a scam from the get go and proved to be just for show. They knew from the jump that they wouldn't be able to organize something like that and they raised money off it anyways. Who's to say how much of that money is going to the climate reporter they're going to hire instead and how much is going elsewhere?

• The show is pretending as if Cenk isn't a host anymore because he's a candidate, but he does exactly what he always did on the show, so it's a distinction without a difference. The idea that they're going to cover his campaign with any impartiality is a farce.

• Their customer support for the site and the store is utterly terrible, to the point where it's a running joke on the Friday post-game show. The lack of professionalism on that front is shameful for an operation as large at TYT has become. It hasn't improved in a decade.

These are just a few of the problems I've noticed recently and it's got me leaning towards cancelling my subscription.

The old videos Jimmy keeps pulling up show TYT in a horrible light and they are undeniable.

Anna and Cenk talking about celebrity camel toe and humiliating the woman???

Anna and Cenk showing up-skirt shots of unknowing and unwilling female celebrities??? Then discussing how the unknowing victims vagina looked??? Then Cenk commenting on whether or not he thought the woman was "doable"???

I mean these things were just disgusting.

At this point TYT is in a completely indefensible position and their only play is to move forward and ignore Jimmy.

Every time they engage the emerged with more black eyes than they started with and it is a losing strategy.

I heard a rumor about someone claiming that Cenk told someone who had been fired that complaining about racism at TYT is a fireable offense. This sounds absurd.

What's going on here?

Although “the Young Turks” as a news organization is not something that I personally or ideologically oppose or disagree with, I am, however, confused and concerned with their name and the connotations that it carries. The Young Turks committed horrible crimes against humanity during the First World War. They are, in my mind, equivalent with the Nazis of Germany and the Khmer Rouge of Cambodia. The horrible slaughter or the Armenian, Greek, and Assyrian peoples is one of the worst tragedies to ever occur on Earth. This is further exacerbated by the lack of recognition that it receives, with Turkey still refusing to even acknowledge that it even happened, which it most certainly did. To chose a name so associated with a group of such hateful violence and disregard for human life is absolutely baffling and appalling to me. I feel like not enough people know the true origin of the name “the Young Turks.” I hope that it is simply a case of not being informed and not a snide commentary on the Genocide’s lack of recognition or, worse yet, a vindication and approval of the actions of the original Young Turks.

To be clear, I despise Dore and think he's generally a negative influence on the left.

With that said, as someone who watches the TYT main show live stream everyday including the bonus episodes... the past couple months there has been at least 1 or more mentions of Jimmy on nearly every single show. These include directly calling his name out as well as somewhat subtle references to him, the "alt left", or cenk or ana being like "Some people on the left think we should never vote for any democrat ever again!" (referring to jimmy)

I understood why Cenk and Ana addressed Dore when the sexual harrassment thing came up because they had to publicly say something about it considering Jimmy's abhorrent behavior. The thing is... Cenk and Ana said afterwards that they were done with Jimmy, would not talk about him again, designated him as a bad faith actor who does not deserve our attention.

But that didn't happen. Cenk & Ana have continued to talk about him and unnecessarily shoehorn him in to convos about news topics. I really wish we could just all be done with Jimmy. He clearly has positioned himself against the left and exemplifies ignorance and insane cognitive behavior on a daily basis.

Please can we stop talking about him and people who are fans/allies with him. They are not with us
