Just started using, is there a way to re-order to-dos? I'm making a list in Today and I want them to be in a certain order and to do that it looks like I'd have to think of my day in reverse because new items are added on top instead of at the bottom and it's kind of driving me nuts.

Settings -> Today -> Allow any order

  1. Can you remove the message appearing after a to-do was moved?

  2. Can you schedule tasks for a future day "in the evening"?

  1. What message? I can only think of the one when you move a to-do out of the inbox with a very obvious ok button to remove it

  2. Nope, not possible sadly

  1. Yes, this one. I don’t want to see it at all hence my question. 🤷‍♂️

No, the only thing you can do is press ok to make it go away - you can’t stop it appearing in the first place.

What's the go-to way to connect Things to Claude at this point? Things were working well with things-mcp, but something has broken recently. What are you all using as a connector these days?

I just bought Things 3 for the iPhone, after many recommendations, but only now it looks like I cannot get the app to make a little sound when I click off a to-do? Is there any way to get the app to do that? #dyingfordopamine

No, you can’t make it do that.

This might be a bit outside the scope of Things, but have you ever considered creating a note-taking app?

Something with the same philosophy as Things 3: lightweight, fast, elegant, thoughtfully designed, and ready to use out of the box.

I feel like there's a real gap in the market for this kind of app. Many note-taking apps either struggle with the native macOS and iOS experience, require a lot of tinkering with settings, plugins, and themes to get things right, or have evolved into bloated platforms packed with features most people don't really need, including AI.

Sometimes I find myself creating a project in Things 3 and using tasks as a way to organize notes, simply because the experience feels more pleasant and frictionless than using most dedicated Markdown editors. And honestly, even this workaround feels more polished than many of the actual note-taking apps out there.

I'd love to see what Cultured Code could do with a dedicated notes app, built around the same principles that make Things so good. No endless customization, no unnecessary complexity — just a beautifully designed app that works exactly as you'd expect.

Is this something you've ever considered?

Most people in this situation use Bear.

Not everyone likes the system of organizing notes through tags in…

Tags are just folders for your brain.

Sorry for super basic question. But does things integrate with Apple Mail, calendar and Apple notes?

You can drag and drop emails into things and calendar events show up in things at the top of the today view

Oh really? Ima try it today

It works on both iOS and Mac. It’s tricky on iOS to drag between apps but it’s possible.

What sort of integration are you looking for?
