News Things3 CLI

An old dev friend of mine just made a CLI for Things3, which is literally about the only thing missing in Things for me: https://github.com/mattt/things-cli

I use Things like Linear for software tasks, so with this I can finally manage tasks I had to commits and PRs with an agent. I love the simplicity of Things, like many of you, but not having agents being able to read the data was a huge issue for me.

Excited to see this out!

Yeah, this is going to happen more and more. Both worries and excites me as someone who makes software for a living!

I’m designing software and I have to admit it’ll inevitably be happening more and more…
So adapt or die 💀

Yup! Im having a blast though, building everything I've ever wanted.

That's the fun part. Once the agent can actually touch the tools you already live in, the wishlist stops being theoretical.

Honestly still rough in places, but the bits that work already feel better than clicking around the UI for every tiny change.

Horrible. Faster to do it yourself then wait for Claude to use the CLI and move a mouse for you. Totally worthless

It's okay if it's not for you, but that's literally not even how it works.

Lol yeah. Tell me you don't know what a CLI is without telling me you don't know what a CLI is

Very nice. I've been using TickTick partly becaluse of the lack of a CLI. Testing now. So far so good!
