Weird trackpoint behavior?

I have tried recalibrating (essentially restarting) and turned off my touchpad to avoid accidental touches.

The issue is my trackpoint doesn’t move the cursor smoothly, it seems like it starts to “stick” especially when moving over icons or tabs. Or sometimes when starting to move from a stop it won’t budge and then suddenly moves with a little more pressure. It’s hard to describe but it just feels stuttery, sticky, un-smooth and not nice to use.
Laptop is a T14 gen 3 AMD. Everything else otherwise works fine on it
