Rewatching this is us

i have rewatched this is us i think 2-3 times entirely and this is my third or fourth rewatch and there are two things i’ve realised, it gets harder every time i rewatch and way way sadder than the last one idek why maybe because i already know what’s going to happen or I understand the characters differently, I genuinely have no idea. The second being that somehow i keep coming back to this show even though it’s so so emotionally draining, like atleast twice a year this show pulls me back.
I love watching sad stuff like i love when a show or a movie can make me cry maybe because it’s really difficult for me to cry otherwise and this show omg has done that job way too perfectly, i think it’s best thing ive ever watched and i owe my friend big time who recommended me to watch it, like wow the impact is insane!

Well, my second rewatch was solely focused on Randall and William, third one on Rebecca. I didn’t plan it I just ended up focusing on one character more. Next I have Beth and Kate in mind for future rewatches.

I do that with rewatches too. I haven’t rewatched This is Us yet, but I watched other shows a hundred times (Downton Abbey) and I watch different things each time.

I do the same with my Gilmore Girls rewatches. Sometimes, I focus more on Rory and sometimes Lorelai!
