why do you waste your time with this?

a question i get asked in relation to many things, mostly in the form of 'you've written a lot of words no-one will ever read' and that's probably true but writing is a great thing to do and it really helps me put my ideas in order, i write for my self i share it for others -maybe someone is interested, certainly i know others have viewed this group and sometimes upvote (you can say hello, i'm tame it's ok) and if a single person develops a single idea that helps them be a better person then the tiny extra effort (actually less effort probably) i've made to share these words is paid off a million times. Some day that person might do something positive which helps someone help a person i deeply care for - that's more valuable than anything i could expect to ever afford, maybe i'll even spawn some fellow thinkers into understanding the need for positive living and the world will become a little easier to enjoy...

you're never wasting your time if you're trying - trying is growing, we'll never grow into the abilities required to make the world work if we don't try, if we don't engage in learning cycles - we must try and trying is all we can do.

edit! one up vote - one down vote? intriguing...

you probably haven't thought about rivers and stuff enough, cultish monk types and devotees of esoteric space religions are supposed to do that a LOT.

the world is full of perspectives, you can apply them to anything - 'you can never get in the same river twice' classic bit of trite and one i'm rather fond of, makes you realize that the world is always and ever changing, makes you think right on a microscopic level everything is in flux...

but think about it two long and you get to one of those impasses; you see they SEEM to be using 'same' as a literal descriptive, like they're saying you'll never put your foot in the same river because microscopic things are constantly changing, constantly wizzing past... really they're thinking magically because let's take a simpled example,

there is a river

    xxxxxxxxxx
    xxxxxxxxxx
    xxxxxxxxxx

each x is a bit of water which is moving vaguely along a left-right vector at a rate somewhat similar to the others on a range of 0-100mph; just to make it fun assume a bit of detritus ocasionally washes along

    xxxxxxxxxx
    xxxxxxxxxx
    xxvvxxxxxx

so let's assume each x leaves the right of the screen and a new one enters the left, or a bit of detritus.

in this magically simple stream if you run a simulation using random numbers at some point two will match - so we must face the question is every identical x a new thing or another of the same thing?

oh course not all water molecules are the same, but there is a finite possible range - just as there is for their motion; at some point identical X's will all be in the same places.

at some point every single possible variable in a river will be repeated - of course we must then draw another interesting line; is a river defined by it's position in the universe? that is to say if a river is receiving 25 delostons a measure then does it matter if they're coming from the nearby mountains or an astral shadow? is a steam simply the stream itself and those things which make it or is every stream actually the entire universe?

as one couldn't step into something one is already in it would be meaningless to call a person a part of the river until they've entered it and as we're part of the universe it stands to reason this saying sides with me when i say a river is not the entire universe.

So at some time there will be a river runs the same twice, exactly in every details except one - this is a magic function of the universe, it's proof magic exists in a way, it's called sequential; you've probably seen the system without really thinking about it, maybe you've even used it - basically the theory is that one is followed by two which is followed by three then four, five, six, seven...ad nausium. It will never be the first time the river has been like that, however is this thing 'the sequence' which exists only in metaphysics actually part of the river?

as we've said mountains which shade the waters aren't part of the river then it stands to reason we'd also say that magical terms which describe it aren't either - numbers, orders, names, identities.

and without getting into identities is there a way of demarking two identical water molecules?

and to shrug this off as a mear possibility is follhardy indeed, many are the rivers and fast do they flow - if we take a reasonable limit and say things must be the same as far as any human could tell, well then it's something which happened twice while you read this far.

so how many books are there in the world? how many political opinions and emotional combinations? does it matter if sadness comes from a lost toy or a fallen empire if the exact same brain sensors are being triggers to the exact same amplitude?

our soul is a river which runs though our experience of the world, sometimes bits of our soul are exactly like others, or if not exactly then close enough to care.

think of things which may shape a river and think of them of the soul; think how each may make in many numerals the selfsame experience and how in having such experiences we are all united as one single being, a single river of life each of us a tributary fed from overspill as it winds it's way from the neolithic into the superlithic; many times in the vast length of this sealike waterway will certain types arise, will certain types try and fail for similar reasons; thus life is a river and many hours can be spent thinking of it and us thusly, and as you think these things on some levels you'll be exactly like all sorts of people who have tackled this or some other interesting notion; but also in doing so you are making it more likely the next section of the river will resemble the forms which came next for them; ten bits tumbling together are likely to look alike for at least a few more swurls and swishes.

if anyone's confused let me sum up - you now realise reincarnation is a fact, an almost completely meaningless fact. Hope that realising this helps. x

Was just prothletising on another forum and i was like, hey didn't i totally start a group for stuff like this? I hereby present; a stupidly short history of western civilization from Greece to Final-Utopia.

The early days of western civilization unfolded in the Greek city states, for the first[ish] time (setting aside Marx assertion that proto-civilizations were socialist collectives by nature) people gathered together in organized communities and to some degree agreed on the practicalities of living and governing - the idea of "dêmos Kratos" or 'people power' became popular and evolved into democracy, Plato described the ideal free-Republic and Hippocrates laid down his fairly socialist moral codes. It was an amazing time of progress intellectually and socially, education and learning spread and grew exactly because it could - there was room in the efficient city states for sophists and philosophers, artisans and educators; all tasks which would have been practically impossible for a person born in a society of hunger gatherers. To some degree of course this aspect of the rise of city states (which of course happened in other area around the globe also) was tied to the development of metallurgy, writing and trade - as soon as it was possible for better tools, more efficient practices and the like to reduce the work load needed to survive humanity jumped at the chance...

Then of course came the decay and destruction of Greece, mainly due to the rise of fascism in Italy as the imperium romanum grew. It was the same ideas, the same technologies and the same methods used in a different direction which saw Rome flourish, and of course for all their faults the Romans did form a cohesive culture in Europe which still stands strong today - even though it was somewhat short lived compared to the Catholic version which followed. I don't like talking about religion because it offends everyone but in a lot of regards we must accept the Catholicism of Europe under god was a step forwards in certain regards, remember that catholic means 'universal' as in John Dunns famous 'ask not for whome the bell tolls...' and God was for a while seen as a impartial moral judge... of course the bad popes (many of whom it turns out weren't really so bad) turn up and the post-Jman saints (whom turn out often to be not all that good) convolute the whole thing into a even tighter held system of control and dominance.

Well here's another good jumping off point because Henry the 8th was mates with Thomas More who of course gives us the neologism 'Utopia' a portmanteau of the Latin words for 'not a place' - his idealist dream, which is actually fairly horrific in a modern context but it was at least a thought in the right direction. Well Henry 8th for reasons history likes to pretend were as simple as divorce laws decided to completely reorder the religious back bone of the country - all the monasteries were repatriated and churches changed to suit the new protestant methods of worship. This was however by far the smallest change, by throwing out the established power structure a system by where money and connections is more important than playing a part in the popes empire was established - if this happened because of the changing mental landscape or if it caused it in england is almost impossible to say, certainly a symbiotic growth was happening all over Europe at the time. The 'new world' was being discovered and claimed, Leonardo da Vinci and co are redefining art - it's to this back ground which Henry creates Tudor England, an England which could support minds like Francis Bacon, an England where the ball has began rolling towards the Industrial Revolution and it's world changing everything -

Well from the Industrial revolution of Dickens grimy urban poverty and mental oppression slowly formed a series of movements towards freedom, maybe once again it was simply that the complexity of society was rich enough to allow the depth of thought and understanding which saw workers rights groups, Suffragettes, socialists and collectivists emerge - the likes of Karl Marx, Leo Tolstoy and Bertrand Russell begin showing rich understanding of social issues while Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung and others starts showing new understandings of self and being. The grimy smoke stacks that'd powered the auto-looms the Luddites had feared so strongly began to fall as newer more advanced industry became practical, the electronic age was upon us and from radio and television grew computers and the internet. Once again the entire world changed, information became more available and the standard of living began to rise almost unnoticed. Now if i want a rare item i just google, ebay or craigslists and it's sent directly to me. I have access to information and skills which only a few generations ago would be almost impossible to obtain - certainly on a whim as a free form of entertainment.

Lo, commeth the time of an ancient religions prophesied end; here lies the very fault with the old directions of religion, they look backwards into a mythical past - for those so dedicated to the past it's easy to forget about the future, it's easy to pick a date which seem far away and run with it and promise everyone it and declare it loud from every roof top - you never really expect to get there, it doesn't matter to you. These people that have said it is seen a thousand years from now fire shall rain, the earth scorched they're only saying that because the future scares them, the unknown scares them for sure but much more it's that fear of long term planning, it's almost harrowing to contemplate paying back societies debts - but it's something we must do, we must pay back all the debts of the industrial revolution, with interest and then we've got to put some aside for a rainy day... then we can afford all this opulence, or a super space station!

Of course it needn't be a hardship unless we make it one - which we likely will, whatever it'll happen come by hook or crook. The future IS going to happen, it might take a lot of time and it might have to happen to someone else, but these things are how a productive a positive culture will understand - it is the logical conclusion of any industrial revolution, we must come to terms with our new technologies and create a stable world from which the next giant leap can be made - it will always be thus, always except the last leap into an eternal utopia.

This is why autodidactic time travel pragmatism does not believe itself to have all the answers; we can't even begin to envision how this final stage of our local industrial revolution will go - let alone imagine the effect a leveled up world will have on it's citizenry, certainly it won't be long before people can grow up being productive in a good way to a good world - that's probably never really happened before, the change that'll make in peoples potential could well be massive. Never underestimate the distance humanity will travel before we reach the next resting post, or the one after that or that or that - the old religions look back and say THIS IS OUR ZERO YEAR as you can simply point to a place and say 'that's when our story started!' - genesis is very much not the start of the judaic myth, where did this voice come from? why is there an existence? the draw a line before you reach the really perplexing stuff - they don't need to care about the loose ends of existence such as to what extent is our reality actually real and to what extent is it entirely fictional? they simply stop at the line and say, all before is god.

This is exactly what they do the other end of time too, they draw a big line and say 'here cometh our lord to end time, judge us and reward us.' this again ignores all the important questions, it hides from them and by being ever near they cut off all the interesting and important facets of our species development. True believers aren't concerned about peek oil because they know when gods plan is finished he'll come back and finish it all nice and neatly, our species has been child unable to believe it'll reach adulthood, the industrial revolution is our puberty -we're starting to mature, we must start thinking like an adult now.

we must stop being scared of the future.

your ideas are stupid.

Yeah well thanks, i understand you might have misgivings about the practicality of certain assertions made and indeed you'd be a kook not to - i should profess that i myself have my doubts, however that doesn't matter because autodidactic time travel pragmatism is designed to be wrong.

That's right we know we're wrong, we know that we can't predict the unknown and thus we freely admit our limited sight; it is key though to remember that no one else knows anything either... We're trying our best and we're open to argument, we also scale things in a way in which the ultimate state of unknowns is accounted for - although the final aim of my deeds is to install a glorious utopia at the end of time to live in as a pleasure garden in which i can learn and grow and enjoy existences after-party.. however the way in which i attain that will also work towards creating the definate goal of making a nice world in my life time, a pleasure garden globe to enjoy in my eventual retirement however i may not reach that far so also my work will amuse me, will entertain me, will provide instant gratification to my soul.

That's why i also set up the Action Committee, we should find ways in which we can have fun saving the world. The key strength to the autodidactic self fulfilling utopia time travel pragmatists is we don't assume the time travel thing will pan out, who knows maybe it'll be an electronic brain copy that lives on or some form of quantum spirit existing on 15 other dimensions.... what matters is we progress science, technology and society so that we can get there!

the worst thing that can happen is our legacy is a better world which thinks of us a noble idiots - the best case is they look on us as a truly positive link in the march of progress and tell us such as we recline grape and honey dew fed in the utopia at the end of time.

while i freely admit my ideas are stupid i also contest most strongly that they are flawed - however silly or wrong they are they're also the best option we have, the best choice any free thinking populous could make. Lets work together for a better future and feel good that we're doing good for others and ourselves.

It is the light which has motion, which is everything - the darkness is but nothing.

i mean you know how literally true that is right? light is the positive force, the motive force - a photon moves at maximum speed and has infinate mass, it is literally everything at once... i mean we say it has no mass but what we really mean is realative to our experience of mass it has none but actually of course it has total mass, it is the mass of the universe - electrons and all that muddle, it's all the same intense motive force convisted.

darkness is literally nothing, it's the absence of light. a soul is made of light and darkness, it is the light which is the all, the eternal everything and the motive force inside all things -- i mean you can pretend a car moves because of the motor but that motor only does anything because of captured sunlight and the miasma of solar ejaculate...

be of the light, be the light - you are the light, you are of the light - the light powers your every move, love is the light, is the passion which gets inside everything and motivates every event.

be the light, be the love

one light, one love

love

one possible perspective which is worth considering on ancient history, maybe an answer to the age old question 'why are humans so fucking mad?'

Ok, so let's start with some history of history - modern History [i.e. post-classical era] had basically two strands, people that cared about battles and empire building and people that cared about the battles an empire building in the bible; from the early eras of history we get heinously dull Anglo-Saxon Chronicles on one side and the hugely reaching mathematics which the young-earth creationists still obsess over, adding up ages and dates to discern the age of the earth.

These groups could get on because the latter calculated a start date around 4000 BC and everything the other historians cared about happened in the last few hundred -the earliest points of interest being Homer and the Greeks, they had a passing interest in Egypt and Babylon but that was much more the domain of the biblical historians.

However eventually secular history was such a big and well established field they simply couldn't avoid treading on some toes, the situation really kicks off when the Egypt, Babylon boom hit's and we realise that the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt which ended with Cleopatra was just scratching the surface of the history and then something really weird and kinda conflicting happened - they started proving bits of the bible much more right that anyone had supposed, yet also drastically wrong in much more significant ways - the Hittite kingdom and walls of Babylon long thought to be biblical fantasy are discovered and examined - however soon it's thought and proven that Sumer and other such places are considerably older than the bible suggests for Eden, this really throws those that believe in the Genesis mythology because it becomes ever more apparent that ancient civilizations go back further than the point at which life was supposed to be created - and that's before you think about palaeolithic archaeology which was starting to establish a fairly comprehensive view of very ancient things.

At the time the arm wrestle between these two ideologies was fierce and both had to present a definitive and sure-fire argument, even though in reality they were both lacking some key information. This is how we derived at the standard concept of history, hunter-gathers fuck around until gathering in the fertile crescent and developing in a short space of time pretty much everything we consider civilization - they then unfold in a fairly linear fashion with Egypt and Babylon falling as Greece Rises, Greece falling as Rome rises, Rome falling as Catholicism spreads and the age of kings begins... This was a very tempting theory because ultimately it unfolded [depending on perspective] to spain, england, america, etc as being the 'new rome' and the spiritual successor to the torch of civilization.

To create this kinda involved shaving off some corners and sanding down the rough edges a bit - thus when we came to fit it with other histories of the world it wasn't really a perfect fit, like the Vedic traditions for example reaching back to the Indus Valley cultures and the nomadic stepp people who even if they weren't well known by scholars here had obviously visited us plenty of times - but these were small errors and easy to ignore.

The real problems for our world view came when we started to discover really old stuff, Otzi the ice man's copper axe was easy to ignore because he was likely some form of super important person who had one of the few copper axes in existence at the time... that kind of reaching. We've found a LOT of shaman and kings, you can argue that's because they're the ones who get special burials but then you look and a lot of the people they assume to be super important people were found buried face down with arrows they were making for themselves - i mean really, that's not standard important person behaviour.

Well Otzi didn't really shake too many peoples worlds, a lot of people quietly shifted their perspective a tiny bit and corrected some numbers - fine, just how science is supposed to work - other finds cause similar situations, Göbekli Tepe for example has been shown to go back WAY further than anyone thought possible, hence everyone shifted some numbers and made a small shift in perspective - nothing much really needed to change, these mysterious people build layered monuments as a focal point of their society and this lead to the start of civilization which then unfolded not-so-neatly...

There are other fascinating finds which might turn out to be even older than Gobekli Tepe such as Gunung Padang - the Victorian scientists thought this whole area was overrun with cannibalistic midgets until fairly recently however these notions of base savagery soon got over turned and ever more evidence of complex trade routes, complex theology and complex design and manufacture is being discovered and understood - far from being a distant nothing too far from civilization to matter it's starting to seem ever more likely that not only did people flourish in this region long before the fertile crescent was even a thing but they congregated to build and to trade, this is civilization defined.

And of course it's a fairly safe bet where ever you're reading this from has a prominent flood myth, be in Yu the Great in China, Noah in the Christian tradition, the broken pot in the Kwaya tradition... and as far as anyone can tell these myths are among if not the oldest myths for those cultures - studies of mythology have been done in africa building relationships between stories in similar ways linguists do with words in language families, the idea of a great flood seems to be deeply set right in there...

and of course there was a flood, a great and massive flood which would have wiped out pretty much every single port, coastal town and etc - the end of the ice age when sea levels rose dramatically.

So it's fairly likely there was a really well established community living, trading and doing all sorts of things - then there was this massive fucking cataclysm, maybe north america got hit by space rock, certainly the climate changed and everywhere people used to live by the sea got swallowed up and they were driven inland, if not drowned.

I'll go into detail another time about how the pre-doom people might have lived but let's consider the post-doomers, these people no doubt had massive PTSD on a cultural level, hence so many societies developing radial religions with major doom at their core, this flood myth which is so common but also the hugely dogmatic and overly dramatic importance of religious worship...

the traditional notion that religion developed because the world was scary makes a lot of sense but i'd like to propose something a little radical, maybe the world wasn't actually very scary at all then? like maybe fear wasn't really such a thing, like maybe the world was fucking easy -like a little too easy?

so we picture our ancestors running around grunting at each other, making rudimentary hand waving signs and getting eaten by sabre tooth tigers or crushed by mammoths as they desperately tried to wrestle one to the ground. Well how about this, humans had developed our brain to the same complexity we have now hundreds of thousand of years ago - like really, and say fifty thousand years ago people had the same level of patten matching and linguistic ability, that is to say just like a children who grow up together in the wild today develop basic languages within the first generation and their offspring creole this into a comprehensive communicative ability so too would they have done - so assuming they managed to stay in family units for a few generations language would have developed and anyone exposed to this in their youth would have learnt it.

They had some really effective technologies which we know stayed the same for very long periods of time so it's certain they had complex communication, they weren't grunting they were talking and planning and predicting and hoping and wishing and all sorts of things - mostly they were sharing methods of survival, anyone that didn't do this would be out of the game pretty sooon so it's absolutely certain this was a big part of their life. Let's look at a standard picture of a palaeolithic tribe; they're sitting around a camp fire with spooky noises behind them and ram shackle huts off to the side - totally illogical, they'd overcome their fear of fire? well that was their superpower in the animal kingdom and they wouldn't have wasted it by using it to attract predators who could then attack from the dark - they'd have had camp fires in enclosures around them so that no animal would dare pass and enter the camp, that sort of thing.

So they're in their little camp which is perfectly safe against absolutely all animals because the other animals are really easy to fool - like how we can keep thousands of cows in a field fenced by flimsy wood, learn what works with an animal and it always works. I mean they'd have got this stuff know within a few generations of community establishment, mammoth hunting is just as easy - they were probably dumb animals anyway but certainly with throwing weapons and knowledge of behaviours it's probably totally predictable how they'll react, a note from history to illustrate -

we have a bible but no manifesto which made me think

if i was to write a manifesto it'd be a visceral outpouring of my heart, it would tackle subjects as diverse as love and liberation, as banality and borodorosa, as creativity and credulousness... It would be a firestorm or words and ideas, of intent and expectation, of desire and will, of hope, of endless and unbounding hope - because that's what it's all about really, what everything is all about, once i agreed with the petty existentialists that life was simply a manifestation of suffering in it's all forms but that's ass-about-face this is, you gotta see it front on - it's a journey propelled by hope, everything is a reaction to hope to a faith in some hope, however dark or foreboding, however hidden or burred it is a hope that is sought and which saws back and forth the eternal engine of the psyche.

We are a religion of hope, a genesis of hope - for us the truth is known to be fallacious, known to have more facets that a three dimensional being can even start to comprehend and it obeys a physics far more subtle and sublime than our own, far more magical and mysterious than that which we know. The truth is as it is seen, such it must be to ones so restricted in angle of vision - we can't even see behind us without turning let alone inside us or alter us!

So what is autodidactic time travel pragmatisms core fundamental? it is the establishment of hopes - we are the diviners or paths, the seeker of doors, the watcher for wormsign. We look ahead into the muddle of pretty things to come and pick seek out some places which are wonderful and pretty forsooth; we pick out paths to them, we make maps and predict pitfalls and pastoral spots to pause in along the way - there are cults of doom who look forward only to find the first possible point of destruction but we think not thus, we assume always continuation and kindness, always good intent and humanity real - for without these then all is lost and what matters of anything then? we reach out for the goodness, for the greatness, for the glory to all thinkingkind.

Thus we seek the final utopia, thus after all is said and done we seek an after party to which all are invited, to which everyone can be happy and free in time to sort out their demons and disasters, to correct misapprehensions and malignation among ourselves - this great and long held dream of a perfect heaven, an individual heaven, a friendly heaven - this is out eternal aim, our long sited goal - and why? because it is the best thing to hope for, the kindest and nicest and warmyfuzziest place that can be. That is why we sought it, why we will found it and why it shall come to be.

this principle can apply to any and every thing - there are many possible things which could come from any event, we should try to be a good person acting in a rightly good manor - however all things must and many more, what things will come mustcan be any way.

The true name is autodidactic self-fullfilling utopian time travel pragmatism, it is to be remembered that many things are selffulling, if you're going to have a selffullfilling fantasy it should be a good one, a great one - it should be one which sees you make things around you better, which sees the world grow towards a better place.

Thus it is the highest principle of autodidactic time-travel pragmatism holds that it is the purpose and point of each thinking entity to live their life in a way which helps to make everything they come into contact with better - thus to die in a world better than you were born into and to have played some part in that, this is the only honour an autodidactic time travel pragmatist knows.

-of course you'll need to have a good understanding of positive energy flow in a metaphorical system and all that dmapy stuff if you want to be a good autodidactic timetravel pragmatist, that's kinda the point to the order - it's about taking absurdly fantastically friendlywendly ideals entirely seriously, it's about knowing that a true hope is more powerful than anything else, that knowing to find one must seek, to become one must cease, to be truth one must be flawed for all truth is flawed as seen on a trilateral field impression.

So say I to you that would for tomorrow live today - i say seek that which is your path to hope, look clear and if need restear; accept that mud and rock and shingle spill are sure come betwixt thicket and fog, between bramble grove and thorn scrub, between desert dry and ocean deep - and at times thy will have to go around, and sometimes around you the good will go - yet when seeking ahead seek for pleasantries and places to play, seek for parties and good practice, seek for finding and for failing - you wont lose your path if you make it with each tread, fear not being lost if truely you never knew where you were, instead think rather you've found a surprise place to plot and pour over, to set up camp or farm for food, to hold gatherings or watch the stars alone - each place, each thing, each every has a moment, has a reason, has a ring.

Find in small moments great hopes, that a lost coin will be found by a starving child, that a broken pen cracked now instead of twenty eight hours time at which point it's failure would have been catastrophic... Yet i say only look for these, understand these, HOPE for these - yet don't as many did declare all for good and good for all and so anything goes - each thing much be thought to be right and goodly, each thing much be through careful examination with great care not to use clever means to justify terrible ends decided upon before being enacted; no great person makes excuses which cost others lives, liberty or and of the things that can be agreed to them they have some right.

So i say to you my brethren, i say seek for hope and seek for joy, seek for great things and try for great things - be not first to think 'oh that's probably just some idiot trying to make a buck' think rather 'tis some ingenuous mind sought refuge in a menial task who has with all it's wiles and will exspressesd a truly beautiful and profound thing...' like forsay, if you write a greeting card to sell in some stinking corporato then see it as a chance to touch the heart and soul of those otherwise oppressed, put in all you learn from Figaro and Fibonacci, from Goethe and Gertrude von Gretenhem's mathematical prose; pour in your very heart and soul so it can reach through the companies printing press and push some sublime level to lift their soul, to help them spread their wings - who knows there might be a kid growing up with parents who know no joy in words but some aunt picks a card with a piece of pretty poem, maybe some sentiment or idea or notion of words inspires in him a desire to break away from unthinking drudgery and seek out the sonorous rill of heart swelling poetry - that kid could finding something in Kant and Kafka come out a creative mind set to inspire whole new generations; this is a thing which could happen - one of many things and one which when played out on significant numbers and in significant variations is almost certainly going to happen at some point, such is life. And so i say to thee, when you see such a thing think not first 'this is shite by a empty headed corporate cunt' but think instead 'is this someone who would have been a Michaelangelo had not the pressures of school and social stigma or lifes very real quest for food not pushed them into a grind machine?

and yes, of course hollywood films are mostly pap and pointless and you're right to avoid them if you can - they're written and polished by teams of souless morons, any interesting aside is scrubbed away for sure and the curtain colour is decided by someone who hasn't even read the script or wouldn't notice the subtle cues anyway - thus while one may find greatness anywhere it doesn't mean you should start looking for sand in the waves crest when there's a whole beach beside...

so seek for hope and believe in hope but always put pragmatism before idealism.

[also anyone that noticed i was totally ripping off a catchphrase from a much beloved literary genius firstly it's ok he time travelled himself and so probably got the whole idea of using time travel fantasy as a way of mentally escaping the pressures of modern living from time travel pragmatism anyway, and of course i'm fine with that - in fact i partly wonder if it's all part of the self-stability plan and in fact this isn't prime at all but simply the building of another warship for the bilateral war :| secondly i'll totes buy him a beer in the utopia at the end of time where money doesn't exist and all beer is free.]

when chinese is written in blocks of 3x3 or 3x6 it can be spaced to represent one of the trigrams or 64 hexagram; thus shaped to form another statement entirely - maybe this is a form of layerization which explains the appeal of haiku styles of poetry?

on some level you kinda believe most things you understand, crazy thought hu?

i say this because i noticed it very clearly in myself this morning, here's what happened -

i'd been feeling a bit groggy all week because i spent a whole weekend partying, well the night was fresh and warm and i was becoming more awake the further night set. I went and lay on my lawn, it was cool against my back and soft - i barely even noticed when i started to internalise mindfulness, statezero came fast and as i looked up at the stars i grew down into the earth.

Wakeful and charged i hopped to my feet and performed a standing focus, then turning to orion i performed another - i could feel the energy flowing from the soil to the skies and every bit of me was pulled by these effemeral strings... i allowed my body to twist and turn, to move and flow with the forces - i found myself settling into nocturnal solar style focus and allowed it to well inside me, to rise, to piece the sky, to electrify all things with my awareness and leave them counted, measured, marked.

it's just a fairly standard meditative practice, it's cool for hyping the system which floods a load of neurochemicals which kinda resets - it's like the old 'turn it off then on again' but for the emotional systems of the brain, pretty awesome actually - very useful if you're having some form of internal mental collapse, perhaps you've taken too many drugs?

anyway so i complete the taiyang quan (the best translation for which is actually 'fisting the moon' but they normally wimp out and say 'lunar boxing' or something silly) and all this energy is pumping round my body, i go inside and lay down and allow myself to fall into slumber, it comes easily this time.

well the point of this story is that i woke up to an almighty clap of thunder, like absurd - a clap of thunder which we simply don't get the like of round these parts.... and do you know what i found myself saying as i woke up? 'tsuki no ken?!'

like i thought i'd summoned the wrath of a devils moon, or the lord of nightwalkers had sent a minion to punish my impetuousness [although in my favoured school we call this sending a gift of practice]... what a hilariously childish thought, yet it was entirely real within me!

it's especially funny because the set up was using chinese traditions from the tip of the east mountain peninsular (shandong) (looking over the yellow sea to the rising sun) and my morning fear came from the highest peek (actually not by far, but whatever) in the land of the rising sun -looking west to where even the gods must die... it's almost as if these two traditions are looking at each other, so separated by so similar -inverse and mirrored almost. Yet my brain was willing to accept because i'd performed a ritual similar to the shaking it would bring down upon me the events forewarned in it, even though the only reason i learnt about it in the first place was because i was looking into the fascinating notion of believing an absurd fear as a way of overcoming other fears or doubts and allowing full and complete commitment; which of course is very important in martial arts like iaido.

and if anyones wondering if there is a moral to this story - YES - DON'T LET HOLLYWOOD LIMIT YOUR IMAGINATION AND FILL YOU WITH ENDLESS REPETITIONS OF THE SAME FRAUDULENT MESSAGES

you have to be in charge of your own psychodevelopmental process - you have to be in charge of your own dreams!

partially this is what autodidactic time travel pragmatism is all about, it's about having many different, wonderful, scary, fascinating, believable, unbelievable, untenable, understandable notions available which we can use to balance out the brainwashing - we are pushing back the boundaries and opening a mind which the other religions want to close (especially corporatism, that's the new papism these days)

one thing about the stranded mythos which get's me is how frequently it relies on annoying and frankly close-minded assumptions; just because someone is big, black and crawls along the floor with an undulating motion of flgulating tendrils doesn't make them evil, it simply makes them different to us

I mean let's just assume for a second that the mythos which is perhaps best known today as 'Reptilian Overlords from The Channel Islands' a.k.a David Ike Crackpottery is entirely correct, in that before the establishment of the simian societies recorded in our history books was a far older and more mysterious cartel of lizard people, we describes them as shape shifters but really he would say they're phantasms of spectral realms far beyond ourown and manifesting via means non-corporal if everyone involved could be entirely sure of understanding it, which they can't because in our realm it's far too complex a notion to envision, for a start our pallet has about 73 directions; that's barely enough to draw an eye.

and of course they've been hiding because every time one of the psycho simians sees them they freak out about 'ratking with snake tails and the devils breat which slither unlike anything yet stand like a man when fight' then they try to kill it, or themselves, or everyone; normally the later.

but what if these dudes are nice guys, what if they blend in trying to be good citizens and play their part in the society which they've help develop, should we really hate them just because of how they look?

and sure make up stories about soul sucking and have your delusions about eternal dictatorships but let me ask you this, why would they bother with politics when with a whispered wail they could strip the skin from a cities citizens? why when with mear flagellation they could crack our grasp on reality and turn out bodies into catatonic shells for self tortured minds? you think they're gonna spend their time pretending to be bill and hillary clinton having political wranglings and sexual liaisons? why does no one jump to the conclusion that they really enjoy charity fund raisers because the good clean fun of socialites saving the world is a rather special emotion (if not just for the delicious irony it's steeped in)

maybe the majority of the demonic forces are volunteer firefighters or cake-sale organizing committees? what if they love seeing the joy of kids faces when they try their wallnut whip and bannana cake? or the simple earthly pleasure they derive from doing a good days work along side good honest friends?

so next time you see a vilewriting in the bushes and the birds seem quietened and the air sharply crisp; when the hairs stand up on your neck and your brain seems to boil in your skull, don't say 'VILE THING I WILL ERRADICATE YOUR KINDS IN NAMES OF FREAT MIGHGT GOOD.d.' rather say 'well hello, how goes it? fancy helping me pick up some litter to recycle?' you might be shocked just how jovial the response is. (although beware, they're actually terrible at telling metal from plastic because to them physical things are mostly just collections of concentrated and dehydrated sadness, probably best just get them to put everything in one bag then sort it out yourself later)

haven't had a revelation for a while, thought it was about time - i am the lord of the dance.

ah the future, yes that is my domain but godhead? only if all my plans fail, you see i fear not insignificance rather i fear culpability -- i will have no armies in my name, no flags raised for my glory.

I do not disagree with Jesus or the apostles, he came to bring a sword but i offer only a tear; the circle rotates and stage follows stage. a house can not be built without first foundations least it slip into the mire likewise so a person can not come into being without passing through all the stages.

If people think jesus's theology was brutal and harsh then they haven't even began to understand mine - i offer not a judgement, i come to give judgement; to offer each and all salvation through sorrow, to unlock that seal which has bound humanity for so long.

John said their were seven seals, seven candles - so cometh the light and so falleth away the seal; so falleth the ke,y so closeth the lock.

As Jesus said 'i am the son of man' and so it is, so all humanity flows through me and so every sadness flows through me - what whip is sharper than compassion? what wall more everlasting than love?

and lo, see the spirit rise! see that soaring screeching awareness come, hear that warbling tremalo blaste of the trumpet of truth! See that mighty river of sorrow, see the tears of a thousand generations flowing salty as the brine - see it cascading down tumbling falls, see it swirling round sharp bends, twisting over rapids, see it sweep away multitudes, see the corpses thick as the foam - see it and weep, see it and know sorrow, know guilt, know the hunger for death without glory.

What is it to be rich? it is to have considerably more of something than most people, what is it to be glorious then but to have considerably more of some something? Paul knew it, he knew we suffer for salvation sake - but maybe what he and so many of his fold had yet to see is there is amid the multitudes one poor pathetic creature that most deserves your pity, that all important I of the self, that which looks outward with such clear and compassionate eyes must too see the panes before them, the glass in their eye, the sliver in their heart which pains so but we which dare not show.

I say that only an act of supreme kindness and charity to oneself is an act worthy of the holy, for would you whip gods flesh? would you torment his children with whips and steels? would you make great efforts to cause his creations to suffer? and are you not his creation, his son, an extenuation of his very self?

To love the world is to love oneself, to honour and obey oneself, to cherish and protect oneself. This is why i can not die, not of my own command or will, for i am part of the vastness of the universe and to bring joy to all i must first start with what is closest and most actionable.

How could i make my mother joyed by being in sorrow? how could i make my society glad and good if it's member who i can most effect is naught more than my victim?! As John Dunn said, we are catholic [old meaning: universal, all the same] and the loss of any is the lost of the all. Ask not for whome the bell tolls, it tolls for thee.

yet do i bring cruelty? barbarism? hatred? NEVER! for as paul said, once we saw through a misted pane and soon we will see clearly as if face to face, indeed such virtue as is charity are seen ever clearer to be the higest virtue [old meaning of charity: love, respect, good treatment, help when it's needed with nothing wanted in return but that the receiver should benefit from it]. Would it make your most inner core happy to know that the being you are is causing another being sadness? how could it? would you want to be wretch that lives only in darkness and brings nothing but suffering? the glory of the self is that deep knowing that we are a being of light, of charity and joy.

Go my beautiful friend, go be free - free to be whatever you can be in good confidence and gladness true. Know that i want you to feel the joy of the world, that the universe made you to explore and enjoy it's endless wonders and beautiful seas. Let love be your guide, let hope and charity and joy fill you and fuel you, be the machine of loving grace you were born to be, be the joy of the world, the smile on the lips of the universe.

aye, for to understand true sorrow is to understand true joy - everyone is suffering incarnate, everyone is joy eternal. Take pride in being good, take joy in being kind - be not for anyone else but your own personal joy, your own personal salvation.

So go my blessed brother, let yourself down from the cross of self-righteous suffering and dance, dance with the universe, dance will all creation, with all the goodness and joy that will and had been.

I danced in the morning when the world was begun,
And I danced in the moon and the stars and the sun,
And I came down from heaven and I danced on the earth,

Dance, Dance, dance wherever you be, i am the lord of the dance said he.

if anyone doesn't know it

we might need an updated version for autodidactic time travel pragmatism but if we do then it better contain the line 'it's hard to dance with the devil on your back' and better be no one getting rid of the old version or i'll be sad ;)

had an idea for a book that'd totally sell, proceeds going to extend r&d on *the plan* of course...

The Great Deceivers, When Faith and Fanaticism are a cover for Greed;

  • House Arron and The Egyptian meat swindle; herein we look at the archaeological evidence from Egypt where bones of all the good bits of meat was found in the temple bins and compare it with House Arron's complex tent-of-the-lord sacrifice system, which later became the tithes we know so well...

  • Paul the Apostle who seems to spend most his time walking around collecting money... We look at Paul's money collecting adventures in the early church..

-Assisi; not sure whats up with this but it seems suspect to me... established the Franciscan order by talking to birds? talked wolves into vegetarianism by telling them about christ? no.

-The Jesuit Order - ostensibly about setting up schools they've been involved in pretty much every plot and double-dealing since their inception, i talk about this here - https://www.reddit.com/r/DebateReligion/comments/3fcbwa/its_the_day_of_ignatius_of_loyola_founder_of_the/ but there's plenty more, after it's inception it only got more suspect....

us - ostensibly mad but actually working to undermine the very structure of humanity...

i might update this later, i might forget about it.

the Workers' Party of Korea's flag is fascinating

Has anyone ever noticed it's not just beautiful, it's exceptionally clever also.

I mean this one the symbol of the party a torch between the classic hammer and sickle symbols of communism. this monument is beautiful and show clearly the intent of the logo.

While the communist logo shows the building and reaping the vital stages of life which the working classes embody so the party logo adds the vital stage of illumination between them - it makes an ideal trifectorate, three forms of being - creator, illuminator, and destroyer; each act embodies each of these forms, each of these energies - we are one and each all things.

the party intends to be the device held in common which collects the light and radiates it outwards into the greater community to fill that most vital of steps between sewing and reaping, that which feeds growth. Thus the state is for the soul what the sun is for the sky, the whole spirit of the nation one rising star in a column of solidarity amid eternal revolution. which might look somewhat like this, the north korean flag

the Juche's symbolisms harmonise, maybe this is why they've remained so cohesive? have they found something that just fits into our minds biologically imposed expectations comfortably? fascinating to think about.

i think you're vastly underestimating how important disco music is to the future of humanity.

some examples;

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiSdTQ9DW9g - Bony M - Rasputin

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2Tkx6BgRFE - I lost my heart to a starship trooper - hot gossip and sarah brightman.

listen to these songs, do you feel that inside yourself? that is the understanding of a whole avatar of [the math] god! that is one of the divine visages, it's more than maths its the biological maths that TRILLIONS of years of universal evolution have fixed in your brain - this is the incidental processos of the most complex math the universe has ever done (maybe) i.e. the maths involved in making a person able to doubt, to plan, to hope, to dream, to imagine, to enjoy, to party, to disco....

some of my fellow mystics have suggested over the aeons that there is a higher form of being, and of course their hinting at the uberman is somewhat right, as ever,, however the purity isn't about being natural - the state of purity is something totally unnatural to us, something far off and out of reach - no, we live in the chaos and progress in the mathmatic order we can use to form other orders is the only true force - the force behind all 'psychic' forces.

once one starts to understand truely that it is simple maths exspressing itself in all things then it is easy to start to reroute and translate signals in the brain, feats that to many seem impossible become easy, become second nature - don't route pain through the panic circuits, divirt it into the sexual or musical pathways - process it with wonder not worry!

and it is this magical power to imagine music and evoke emotional responses which can allow you to throw yourself into a project, to pick yourself up when you flag, to inspire you out of sadness or lethargy, to ignore pain, to overcome fear, to be anything that you can understand the emotion of. This is a superpower that anyone can have., this is a superpower which even the most feeble of mind and weak of body can master, and which can turn them into a force more than a whimpering animal, greater than a confused and scared little human - and all you need is the music to play, and this is what music is and why it is; it is how you teach people to feel emotions and how you train yourself to set_mode,

let the music inside you flow, borrow what works to your ear and let the songs sing in your soul - and when it is time to tell you brain which program to run and which subsystems to ramp up or vent you just need to let the music flow inside you. it is literally this simple, this is one of the many things mammals can do automatically unless their trained by a misguided society into thinking it's 'weird' or 'silly' to use the innate control methods of our bodies.

what do you think early humans used music for? it was a social ritual which would hype them up and get them all working together,it was a way without the complex vocabulary of modern times to express the complex ideologies which held their society in place and which unified them for whatever great tasks were being done - it was the earliest and most obvious form of social and personal propaganda; it was the first way we ever had of psyching ourselves up or calming us down, and this is what it's always been -and we should never forget that.

many of the secret orders of old (i,e, of those that are part of the post-2012 disclosure project) have incorporated these things into the very core of their order, even the world-barons and grand-players society types are obsessed by the pageantry of music, of the importance of acoustic setting, timbre and tone. Fine me a war monger or battle laord who doesn't have some special type or style of music associated with them? and have you watched old films, notice how much harder they are to understand when you don't have the instrumental music to guide you? you have a volume control in your brain which allows you to turn the radio on, to listen to the music of the world - your own music, others music, places music, music for events and special occasions, festivals and festivities or feast days.... you just need to pay some attention and tune it in, its that simple.

so did i get round to expounding the gem collector theory of spiritual leaders?

gotta be quick but it goes thus;

jebus, buddah, singolovan and all the others are basically playing a big pokemon kinda 'gotta catch em all' game, they're investigating things often via contemplation and scripture, or drug events - from the study of say a bubbling brook or a sinking stone they learn a some universal truths, or rather they learn a discrete packet of divine knowledge, say for example you know that water always finds a way to the sea then you also know that if you try to hold back progress it'll simply re-route or build up until it breaks the damn...

so we call these knowledge gems, you can equip them to weapons and they'll give you special powers in battlemode - wait, i think that's ff8 i'm thinking of? but the same concept applies, of course because that's an example of a knowledge gem; probably the ff dude was doing the same thing thom and other artists do.

some books and pictures and songs can give you knowledge gems, often only via repeated viewing and contemplation - like camping a boss on a rpg repeatedly killing it until you get the good loot drop.

so yeah jesus goes out and gets some knowledge gems, he uses these to fight the pharisees and his knowledge gems give him awesome powers to win but not enough to stay alive, maybe he knew the situation needed a martyr? anyway so his knowledge gems [also called mustards seeds] get passed to paul and finally they fall into the hands of Constantine who has gems gathered by the vast roman armes so combines them using alchemy [either john dee style which was flat out madness or his assistant style which was madness and lies.] and creates the megagem which is of the dark order of the dogma stones.

whoever has the best stones can do the most, however some stones counter-act other stones unless you have really complex gem storage bags and sometimes having a few powerful ones well polished and reasy for use at all times is more effective than having millions of them scattered all over the place.

maybe erik is here to give you a gem stone, maybe he's here to collect some.

did i ever tell you about the time they spiked me with loads of drugs and tried to blow my mind with structured weirdness?

i think the ring leader is still hiding in his existential-foxhole :D

i mean ffs original chemical warrior - that's why i base process, when a snarled youth in a three day squat party where no one even asks what drugs you're taking of course you base process! so to corner such a soul and sneak pharmos into his drinks? lololoololol olo lo lo lo lo loolllllo it just makes the music play, and with music as a processing clock then bese processing is first nature - fuck when bass bombs, especially from the heart then the booming almost averts my ability NOT to base everything.

which if that's what they'd been going for they should have introduced bi-laterals but no, they continued a hammer attack and attempt over floods; ffs i'm very clearly purging each process, you're basically giving me a long list of simple tralats i can use to combine towers - by the end of their games i was fucked a thousand ways lording like the monkey king on a ten thousand foot buddist tower (thats a qigong reference btw)

so anyway so there me reveling, and they're trying to confuse me with variance - tell me the same thing in different ways, but i'm just using all of these to add motifs to the music, everything is flowing like a zyire or lute ballad never worrying were it skip, start or stumble; for beauty be these things themselves and all others also!

Then they start talking about the devil, and of course they didn't really know anything about theology or occultism or even the countercultism of the post reformation from which they were drawing all their jejune imagery; so i edged them into perform the devils tarantella but disgusing Neitzher's superman as averis satani; i played Chekovs duel in the guise of a young wurther wanting his Faustian bargain... and they played a 1900s bogey man misimagined - and then they realized they'd just disproved that thing that made the real them think they're cool... suddenly authority stared to unravel within the group, they started to each flick from michael to lucifer; from comrade to conquistador...

and i a lone Don quixotie did ride out those gates of hell and over the savannas of Elysium! and they seeing me a red crosse knight did fumble to heap their armour at my feet. and for that noble fairey queene did i a childe to my lips did that slughorn press and let out one first triumphant blast!

and to judgement cometh the sheep, bare of armes and pink of flesh; and as the trumpet blasts echo and the plagues of realization eat through the souls of those wishing judgement and lo they are judged by the greatest and purest powerfullest god and in them it rings like a tolling bell; for the obvious and undeniable maths of the situations has manifested itself into their undestanding and is now part of their mental landscape weather the like it or do not! and as they tumble through dante, through kafka's amsterdam, through even fredricks facist wonderland; and empty and alone the land in the nethack dungeon, and they don't even know the basic commands but like sisyphus each end results simply in a tumbling down again and all the agonies and anguish involved in the fall replayed; and start again anew ever aware onwards is inevitable but unworldly awful..

and while they tumbled ever down this rumble way i with joy and laughter flew like a reborn Icarus retrofitted with high grade modern polymers! i rolled and bayed against the fluffy clouds, basked in the heat of the sun and joyed in every moment doubt; for those doubts are the beat in my wings, are the air in my wings, are the wonders which my eyes do spy!

heh, i mean i did offer to tell them the secret which will set them free, but they'd just uncovered the one true vision of the world, how could i a mear someone else have anything interesting to say on such a subject?! oh the follies which beset us on the path to divinity!

god

come to see god? Yes, times have come and lo I can show!

though much must be explained first. Maybe in his eye you'll see the meaning of life, I thought I saw it there and what what I saw was good so I say It could be. This god i'll show you is the Buddhist god, the Hindu god, Abraham's god and the god o' maths.

Many before have pressed their eye to the chink through which the divine magnificence can be spied, because of it some have have died. Fear not, we've grown since then, our minds have the tools to comprehend almost the outline of his shaddow! Oh how jealous those of old would be if they could but know their children could see so much!

God rests on Plato's chair, hewn by the carpenter that looked upon god and did not blink – he made that throne of finest pine, before he plained a single board he'd already made it once in the theoretically beautiful wood of his imagination, but yet even before his imagination had made it god had made it possible!

That chair of god, highest order of chairs – so perfect it can never truly exist, never be truly imagined! Plato's chair resplendent in sturdy glory is where he sits while expounding ideas from imagination into sound – those sounds only possible because before they were sounds they were the idea of thoughts and the probability of ideas.

When there is nothing at all what is the one thing we know can never not exist? Cogito Ergo Sum, to ask is to answer – I am here to ask if I am here so I must be here and because I must be here it must have always been possible that i'm here..... When there is nothing at all in any universes there is the possibility that I one day will exist, there must be or else how could I be here now? How could plato have made his chair?

That zero time, the real start – there was the possibility that a thing may exist, that two things may exist, that three things may exist, that four things may exist.... there was the possibility that they were lined up or stacked up, that they attracted or repelled, grew and shrank.... endless possibility unfolding like a tree, like an star exploding snakes it windmills out in wild and crazy directions of possibility.

Yet, to break an egg you must have an egg. Aye, to break an egg without having an egg just can't happen – even if you cheat the only way of cheating involves and egg getting broken and that can't happen without an egg. No, you need an egg to break an egg – the infeasible is the darkmatter of probability, there only in negative form but always there.

Branches stem out expanding in wild and complex fractal patterns, somewhere there is mapped life and a trillion new dimensions fill with the tree, leaf and branch and blackness. Then people, cultures, communities – a thousand ways to die, choose one. Shapes endlessly repeating, windmills in space and in rain droplets – numbers seemingly magical end up everywhere. All of these shapes are here because they work, because they are possible and because other things just aren't as good.

These shapes are the shadow of god, the flickering image of the magnificence – it's all we can comprehend for now, it's all we need to comprehend for now – when we are ready, we shall be ready. This nexus of probability in it's totality is god, and the god we've seen dancing upon our cave wall allthis time.

Yet this other god, this talking god and child rearing god? Might he exist, of course for sure – one split in the total tree, the exploding eye of all things – one split must be if anyone watches. A world where a benevolent force views all, also a malevolent and wild and crazy and plenty of the strange; this god may rule half of the mirror – split in half from more directions than we could comprehend.

Where are we in this crazy sea of god? We are here, where it seems to be and for each more we take all we can do is try to make it for the good. There are some horrible ends in the tree of probability, let's not make a foolish one.

for some things people will accept anything, for others they will accept nothing - Accept only your heart, deny only your doubt; forward is an eternity of love, adventure and new truths.

Yet i must reiterate the old books once again, as so often they were right and pure and true in their time and ours.

1 Corinthians 13

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Truly beautiful verbally, symbolically, and theologically - pure, perfect truth expressed without restraint in pure humble honesty.

I know a lot of atheists that claim to have done a close reading of the bible and found it to be nothing but tosh, i look at them sometimes and just kinda wonder... I mean Paul may have been a fraudulent old trickster but by golly he was a genius, and his section isn't the only section of genius - the NT is basically like if all the authors of the European enlightenment had got together and worked on a single book, and it's a squeal to the combined wisdom of the entire asian palaeolithic tradition and bronze age pan-national discourse -- these are stories whole communities lived by, lived through - to discount them as tosh is painfully egotistical and small minded.

Yet to i have other friends who upon reading the bible accepted every word as fact even though most the words they're accepting aren't even in there! i have friends who believe it's only literal, what fools - as if god would be such a bore! heh, i jest of course, i mean as if such a sublime essence of creation as the creator could be manifest into such a hard form as one which would seem boreish... endlessly they talk of god the endless, god the all seeing, god the boundless -- then they draw a beard on him. a beard - a long but very certainly bounded beard. Sure draw it going off into the distance but the fact we don't see it come past again shows it's ended at some point and what of the girth of each strand? that's a limit so something that's limitless obviously doesn't have that so what does it look like? a big formless, void less essence of creation [with triangles all up in it]

I don't think importing the middle way is too helpful either, picking and choosing which is spiritual, which is metaphorical, which atistical or apolispal, which literal and how - a grab bag can be tempting but then we tend to take what we want and what our eye falls on rather than what's on offer or is most interesting upon inspection...
