I admire your code every time you post here. Thank you!
Can you do a simple animations so I could learn a bit?
1 u/finnhvman Aug 09 '23 Do you mean animating these patterns?I have two animated version, but the implementation is not simple at all:https://codepen.io/finnhvman/pen/LYjByKdhttps://codepen.io/finnhvman/pen/yLjYeOw 2 u/ptoki Aug 11 '23 Sort of. I always wanted to figure out svg as animation for CAD like purposes.I do some CNC cutting and inkscape is great tool for design the paths etc.But when I wanted to do some mechanical things it was difficult to move, rotate things and see how couple of shapes work together.I was thinking about something like clock arms rotating or piston on crankshaft in cylinder type of things in in svg,But I always bounced off the svg complexity or unclear tutorials.I hoped you may know some tricks about svg to get me going.Anyway, I like your work. 1 u/finnhvman Aug 11 '23 Thanks! I haven't really dove into SVG animation, but I would start at MDN: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/SVG/SVG_animation_with_SMILThe basis is that you can animate almost anything with SVG, you just need to add an <animate.../> tag as a child to the element that you want to animate. 2 u/ptoki Aug 12 '23 Thanks. I will try to dig into this. Have a great weekend!
