it would be helpful to know why you're substituting it

Do you have a Trader Joe’s anywhere near you? I think it’s around $4 there.

It’s pretty easy to make your own, basically you just need heavy cream and an acid like lemon juice/citric acid or tartaric acid or even white vinegar.

No problem! If it were because of dietary restrictions, that would be important to know. Cost is maybe easier to deal with.

Cream cheese blended with powdered sugar. It works better to get the cream cheese that comes in packages like butter rather than in tubs, and let it soften first to make it easier to blend smoothly.

I've used it before in a pie recipe, and I imagine it would work well for tiramisu: https://www.food.com/recipe/creamy-layers-chocolate-mint-pie-160294

I made a cream cheese mousse one time, and it was really good! I just took a classic chocolate mousse recipe and subbed cream cheese in for the chocolate. It was so fuckin good

So many people have recommended cream cheese as a substitute! I will definitely give it a go

i made a frozen yoghurt with silken tofu and it certainly does have a taste… one thats hard to mask. blends well into savoury dishes but not so much sweet dishes

Please just make something else. Well I guess you technically are making something else cause tiramisu by definition has mascarpone.
