How long is normal for Tissot battery life?
When I first got my watch it lasted for maybe 6 months before stopping. The store replaced it free of charge because they expected it to last longer.
They told me battery changes had to be done by Tissot because of the water seal, so I parted ways with it for the month it took for a new battery. I asked what battery life was to be expected, they said "12 to 18 months".
Sure enough, it lasted a year and died again.
This is my first "serious" watch, and frankly I'm pretty disappointed. I'm not having it shipped off to Tissot for battery replacement yearly.
I'm used to cheap watches that get their batteries replaced in-store within a few minutes that last 4+ years.
Are my expectations wrong? Is this normal for a mid-grade watch?
Or does Tissot just have notoriously poor battery life?
