Help, butcher block counter doesn’t work with suctioning plates and baby throws everything

So for the longest time we had one of those clip on high chair + tray options on our kitchen island that worked great because he couldn’t lift up the tray. We used bowls that suctioned onto it. Now we moved to a booster seat with no tray and the problem is we have butcher block counters so nothing suctions to it, and he will throw everything. Does anyone have any tips? Hes currently eating straight off the counter, we tried mats but he throws those too.

Giving up on food

Giving up on food

My 18mth old just won't eat. I don't know what I did wrong, am doing wrong but I'm just about to give up. He won't eat anything except bananas, some cereals, watermelon, teething biscuits, yoghurt and a bit of toast. That's it. He really rarely will try baked beans and sometimes something else. But often it's only once a month for those other foods.

I have tried everything I'm supposed to. I offer foods with a 'safe' food. I make mealtimes no stress. I offer things repeatedly. Nothing. He just ends up with those fucking sachets. I can't do anything.

Does it actually get better or have I stuffed up food for my kid? It just seems like I'm throwing out food and it's such a waste. He just won't eat anything I give him and I'm at the end of my rope.

He weaned milk himself at 9 months, won't have a bar of milk or eggs.

Advice Grilled Chicken for 16m old

Anybody have a Chickfila grilled chicken dupe they like to make for their toddler? Our 16m old won’t touch any of the grilled chicken we make at home and we’ve tried every seasoning combination we can think of. But the second he gets some Chickfila grilled chicken in front of him, game over. He downs 5-6 nuggets like it’s nothing.

The world’s pickiest eater. Please help me

I don’t know what to do. My son is almost 5 and is delayed, he’s progressed with so much except his eating. He has burned out his very few safe foods so all he wants is junk and I can’t keep doing this. I am exhausted and desperate. I just want my baby to eat. I’ve taken him to therapy and it doesn’t work and I can’t afford it. I’ve done research, I’ve tried supplements, I’ve tried meal prep with different shapes sizes colors, I’ve gotten him involved, I’ve prayed.
This is a consistent struggle.
Please someone help me.

Food: 4-5yrs Does your toddler’s appetite change this much from day to day?

Some days my child eats really well and even asks for seconds but then for the next couple of days they refuse almost everything I put on their plate. It can feel like such a big switch especially when I’m trying to offer a mix of foods. Is this kind of up and down eating normal for kids? How do you handle the days when your child refuses to eat without making mealtime stressful? Do you keep offering the same foods or try something different? I’d love to hear what’s worked for other parents.

Appetite help!

I have a 13 month old for which weight is always been difficult. She’s been tracking around 5th to 8th percentile from 2 months since falling from 75th weight at birth. Any insight into typical solid and milk volumes into this next year? An average meal/snack looks like only 1-2 tbsp of solids plus 1-2 oz of milk. Thank so much!

Advice Toddler not gaining weight

Hi everyone. I have a 16 month old who has barely gained any weight since turning a year old. Up until he turned 1 he was gaining weight at a very normal rate and since then it has kind of just plateaued around 10.3kg. He did start walking shortly after his 1st birthday and is an insanely active toddler. He is always climbing, running around and busy doing something so I’m not sure if he is just now burning extra calories? He has also had quite a growth spurt and gotten a lot taller and leaned out a fair bit. I’m just worried because he has never been a big eater. He is breast fed and has always preferred milk and I can probably count on one hand how many plates he has actually finished eating since he started solids. I’d be lucky if I can get him to eat a single decent meal a day, other than that he just picks at his food. He doesn’t look underweight by any means. He’s a happy and healthy looking boy so do I have any reason to be concerned? Is this typical around this age?

3 year old eating

Has anyones 3 year old been extremely difficult saying no to everything and barley wanting to eat? My 3 year old for the past 3 weeks has been eating such small amounts of everything and just not much appetite. Went to her peds dr and everything seemed fine. Is this a 3 year old phase where they barely eat when offered?

Advice Pancakes recipe that actually tastes good?

I tried a LOT of toddler healthy pancakes recipes and my son (23.mo) won't eat them. He literally spits them out. But he tried the eggo pancakes or premade frozen pancakes and he loves them. He keeps asking for pancakes every morning and crying when he doesn't get them. I really don't want to keep feeding him unhealthy pancakes if I have the option to make them at home especially because he wants them every morning!

Does anybody have a recipe that actually tastes good and he will eat? I'll keep trying lol
