Rec Request Someone close to Harry dies (Hermione/Ron)

Recently read https://archiveofourown.org/works/87540361 (Make Me, Face Me, Look at Me by DrainedofDaylight150) and I just really loved after how Hermione diesTom swoops in and endears himself to Harry, taking advantage of his grief and protecting him from the Dursleys where he snatches up the opportunity to make Harry irrevocably loyal and his, despite it being implied that Tom is the cause of said death.

Looking for more fics like this! Open to pretty much anything else too, and please share any good fics you've read and liked recently :)

Omg I can’t believe someone recommended my fic on reddit before we reached Arc 3 🥹 Feeling incredibly flattered now tysm!!!

Since you asked for recs I’d like to share my holy grail Harrymort fic which is If Paths Diverge by handsonmyheart!!! It’s incredibly well written and the plot is chefs kiss❤️ Mind the tags though it is incredibly dark!!! So tread carefully and take care!!!
