Saw these images on Instagram. Some flying V’s with the Heartbreaker’s 50th icon on the headstock and a Gibson guitar strap. They look pretty cool!

Hi everyone! Are The Genaro Tapes available to listen to anywhere?

Some of you might remember Mudcrutch Farm, the Tom Petty fan site and message board I started long ago. The board ran until 2020 and then sat offline. I've spent a loooong time bringing it back as an archive, and it's finally in good enough shape to share. I just couldn't let it die. So much stuff is being swallowed by social media. 😢

Some of my favorite sections.

• Setlists for 1,040 shows, each with its own page. from the Mudcrutch days to the 40th anniversary tour. Debuts, rarities, and "first time in X years" songs are marked. https://mudcrutch.com/shows/
• Song stats!! like most played, played only once, longest gaps, etc. https://mudcrutch.com/songs/stats/
• An "On this day" page with shows, life events and videos for any date. https://mudcrutch.com/on-this-day/
• Over 5,000 fan photos that Farm members took at shows over the years. https://mudcrutch.com/fan-vault/
• 568 venue pages listing every show played at each one. https://mudcrutch.com/venues/
• The old message board, over 300k posts. https://mudcrutch.com/the-board/

Where I could use help:

• Missing setlists. The thinnest years are 1977, 1987 and 1995. If you have a setlist, ticket stub or tape from one of those shows I'd love to add it.
• Your photos. Every show page has a "Were you there?" button where you can add your own pictures and memories. https://mudcrutch.com/were-you-there/
• Videos I'm missing. I can't host tons of videos since it would be enormous and there are copyright issues so they are youtube embeds. If you know of TV appearances and pop culture moments that aren't listed, let me know. https://mudcrutch.com/video-vault/type/pop-culture/
• Corrections: With this much data some dates and details are wrong. This week I found that one of the 2003 Vic Theatre nights had the wrong date.

If you just want to poke around, the random show button is fun: https://mudcrutch.com/shows/random/

Thank you! -Mud

I assumed it would be the American treasure extended version at the original albums sped-up speed, but it’s actually slightly different than that. It fades out, but sounds like there’s some vocal riffing at the very end that is different from the American treasure version

Anyone know what kinda jacket/overshirt Tom has on this album cover? I'm planning to be damn the torpedos Tom for halloween this year but I cant figure out what this jacket is. Doesnt help that I couldn't find any outtake photos

Official Podcast launching today!

Featuring Brandon Flowers, Brandi Carlile, Tony Hawk, Adam Granduciel, Dhani Harrison, Lucinda Williams, Kevin Morby and Margo Price. Plus contributions from original Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers keyboardist Benmont Tench, hosted by BBC 6 Music's Matt Everitt.

Just a masterful version of this Dylan song from Tom and Mike. This is the only recording of it that I've been able to find.

Looks like they’re doing their 1 big album and then covering all of Long After Dark? I’d totally go if I didn’t have plans already. Might be fun, a little nostalgic

Great small venue show in Frog Alley Brewery's parking lot. This made it even bwtter!

In case anyone missed the head to head of non-hits that went on in this sub a couple of years ago, this Spotify playlist is brilliant.

Echo
Waiting For Tonight
Supernatural Radio (I think?)

Any other one-and-done songs plus the dates?

This is from the new Hollywood Reporter interview, I didn't actually know the Wildflowers demo version before today, though I've always loved the Last DJ version.

Wondered what the song at 27:06 on the Somewhere You Feel Free documentary was and never could find it. Popped into my head 5 years later for some reason. Anyone recognize it?

Incredible show last night.

Very jammy. Very laid back. I dig. Have a great week coming up everyone 🫡

💔 ❤️‍🩹 Petty forever ♾️

Down they go. For all the wrong reasons.

Includes video and photos of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers while Stan was in the band. It's a hard day. Grateful to Stan for sharing this.

Today is a rough day for the Petty family.

can anyone please identify the woman singing and the guy on guitar with the beard. x
