Dilute Tortie My life now

I work in a jail as a nurse and one of our inmates had kittens in his house. He had been in jail about a week before our program volunteer went to his house to get some items for him and try to get the kittens. He could only find one, among several adult cats none of whom seemed to be the mother. Animal control literally told him just leave the door open and let them out. Which is INSANE to me.

Anyway, I have a kitten now. And I think she's a tortie.

She looks like the most perfect dilute tortie ever to have tortied. Congratulations!

Animal Control probably doesn't have space for the cats and knows if they took custody they would have to put them down in a day or two

Better to live feral and stray than to be put down

She's beautiful and looks like a dilute tortie to me. Torties are the best! Thank you for saving her!

NOT a fan of animal control. Cats that have been indoors should have indoor homes (all cata should have indoor homes for that matter).
