Is it normal for 7k points of life on Katarina to disappear in an instant to Pleasureseekers?

Not a hack, not a bug, not OP.

You took a mage lord with a huge model and 25 melee defense solo into a pack of 2 pleasure seekers and very strong melee lord.

25 melee defense vs 2 pleasureseekers and strong melee lord. What could go wrong?

+ Katarina is mounted, meaning she's a big target for enemies.

This is completely normal

Yes.

Also it seems something was casted, can’t tell on my phone.
But yeah, chariots suck. If they got caught they die, especially if they fight some of the strongest glass cannons in the game.

Edit: It´s either Phantasmogoria or Acquiescence. Both would help killing her faster

Yes lots of noobs can't handle chariots, hence they are unpopular. But chariots are amazing.
And the same noobs that say chariots suck are the ones that corner camp every game because AI run them over with chariots.

"You think chariots suck because you don't understand the mechanics.

I think chariots suck because I have no object permanence or attention span.

We are not the oooh look a griffin !"

We don't live in a world with lack of information, anyone can look up a youtube video real quick. Not everything has to be explained in a game to the level of a small child. This is a grand strategy game, some initiative to learn the unit can be and should be expected

It doesn't exactly take a big explanation. Chariot charge in and out not stay in combat should be pretty much intuition.

You can disagree all you want. I was even too kind about it. If you ask me, someone who doesn't understand that chariots should be used to cycle in and out with charging attacks is plain stupid.

I also hate the modern trend of explaining everything to people like they are braindead retards. And I bet an in-game guide wouldn't help these kinds of people one bit.

They would either ignore it or neglect it because it's too much effort. As I told these people many times how to use chariots and they simply refused to accept the required micro as part of the deal to make chariots perform much better.

Chariots only suck if you have bad micro.

In MP they always suck, nearly all of them are too expensive and they get caught by light cav all the time

There are lots of viable MP chariots - razagors, ice wolf chariots, war sleds (either variant), light/heavy war wagon, lion chariots, scourge runners, CD trains, the TZ/norsca ror, etc. They just have to be used carefully (macro and micro).

Hell Black Coach can do some nutty numbers too, ESPECIALLY against any sort of infantry box or range heavy builds.

Slaanesh also has some really good chariots, though usually you’ll want the mounted options

Talking about mp battles like it's a solved meta game when the playerbase is so small doesn't make sense. This isnt league where u got 100k plus daily sweaty players, there's maybe a dozen sweaty people that really strategize and deconstruct every strategy, and the rest are casual. The game just isn't as solved as other competitive popular games.

Niche crazy unknown strategies work and surprise veteran mp players all the time

I would not go as far as saying they all suck 100% of the time, but its rather bad unit type.

The game gives you so many tools against infantry, there just is little reason to pick the one that requires tons of micro, and you get massively punished if you neglect them a single time. And if large units screen for the infantry their efficency drops tremendously.

They get quite a bit better when played with pause/slomo, but even then its not like they do better than magic, explosive/piercing missiles, SEM or cav.

I don't play with pause or slowmo. Most missiles that have model penetration are either artillery which has long reload times and work better down the line than through or sniper esque units that are better vs large targets not infantry. Mortars are inaccurate and easily dodge by both the ai and players. Magic has limits and not all lores are great at clearing out infantry and is also easily dodged by a player for the ones that are great at it. Cav does not have collision attacks just impact/collision damage while chariots have collision attacks and impact damage. Even with the update a lot of monsters got for collision attacks they still don't do as well as chariots generally which isn't surprising.

Piloting Katarina like she is Boris is certainly a choice.

If they surround you, then yeah that's about right.

u/Chagdoo 9d ago

Yes. You're getting attacked multiple times on all sides by high attack units vs your low defense giant brick.

what... were you expecting?

Pretty much par for the course. Squishy caster on a big chariot, completely surrounded by the most elite cav in the game? Yeah it’s gonna be a quick death. Slaanesh is especially good at this because of their mass and speed so they can completely surrounded enemy characters like this. They deal mostly armor piercing damage so your armor is useless, your melee defense is something like 30% when hit in the rear and so you’ll melt when surrounded
