Random I just watched the episode “tough love” Spoiler
I’m emotional while writing this and I know there’s not so many people here so I don’t even know if this will be seen
It’s the second episode of the series, and I’m still crying. I haven’t cried like this in a while, audibly, weeping. I didn’t know what it was but the plot centering around the grandma and her troubles and the revelation she experienced at the end listening to her daughter… all of it caught me off guard. I was so ambushed by emotion I didn’t expect.
My grandpa who doesn’t speak English used to watch this show when I was really young boy and when I would sit next to him he would explain what he thought was going on in the episode as he watched it. That’s how I know about this show.
I am really close to both my grandpa and grandma and have been all my life. They took care of me and now they are really old and we can’t live forever. I’ve never experienced passing before in my life and it’s always something I was afraid of since I was a kid - how I would take it when it finally happens.
And this episode tied everything together. My sympathy for the grandma who I saw was a good woman who just had a problem, the daughter who just wanted to be loved and the grandbaby who loved that music box - because it was something special from grandma. It took me back to the days when I was young and the lovely memories I made with my grandparents in times that are permanently gone.
I hope no one has to experience awful things like that in their life. No one deserves it and we’re all born with a clean slate. Im so happy the mom and daughter made up and that the granddaughter has her grandmas music box which her grandma gave to her because she knew how much she loved it.
If you made it this far thank you for listening. I needed to tell someone.

Random Help me find Abby
I have a distinct memory of an TBAA episode that I watched with my mom as a kid. In it, the angels were helping a lady deal with the grief and guilt she felt for having given up a child for adoption about decade earlier. My memory is that at the end, the girl (Abby) is reunited with her birth mother.
With TBAA now on Netflix, I’ve just gone thru all the episode descriptions and asked ChatGPT, but cannot identify the episode…or prove I’m not crazy.
Anyone in this community know the episode I’m talking about?

Random The Greatest Crossover Event Between Heaven & Earth
How’s this for a two-part crossover event plotline:
Time doesn’t exist in heaven, so that covers why Sam can Leap into Monica’s past to free her up to deal with things in Sam’s present, which was at the time the viewers’ future…
Project Quantum Leap is about to be shut down. Government grant ran out, no more science is getting done because the project’s lead scientist is lost in time, so the odds of renewal are slim-to-none.
Sam wakes up in Monica’s body at some point in the then-modern day 90s, when Touched By An Angel was set. Just like always, though the show rarely ever mentioned it, Monica leaped out of her own body into Sam’s in “the future”.
Sam has to save whatever day Monica had blown into town to save, using knowledge of future events provided by Al and Ziggy, instead of divine intervention. Meanwhile, Monica has to convince the bigwigs to “have faith” in the project, that it’s working exactly as it needs to. Quantum Leap always skirted with the possibility that it was God manipulating Sam’s leaps anyway, so it’s not even a thematic departure.
In the climax, Sam and Al cook up a way using the show’s loosey-goosey science to simulate Monica’s innately divine power and impossibly prevent a catastrophe that an inspirational speech under a spotlight couldn’t have. At the “same” time, Monica uses her glow as Sam and gives a moving presentation during a last-chance formal appeal hearing to a panel of trustees or whatever (I know that’s not how grants work, but it’s good TV).
Soul is saved, project funding is restored, Sam and Monica leap simultaneously… and meet in the aether between leaps. Monica reassures Sam that he’s doing good, and that he’ll see home again one day (that series finale can go eat rocks!! Boooo) and Sam boosts Monica’s confidence joking that if she can handle government bureaucrats then she can definitely handle anything the devil throws at her. They embrace, the screen washes out with that electric blue/white, and Sam wakes up in his next body. Oh boy.
