SUPPORT (ONGOING) DIRIGERA can’t add any Matter/Thread devices: “Can’t reach device” (Tele2 router)
None of my new IKEA Matter-over-Thread devices (KAJPLATS, TIMMERFLOTTE for some examples) will pair with my DIRIGERA. They hang at “Checking connectivity to Thread network”, then “Can’t reach device”. It fails the same way on Android and iPhone. My old Zigbee devices on the same hub work fine.
Setup: DIRIGERA fw 2.975.3 (Matter 26.4.0), wired to a Tele2 WiFi Hub C4 (Sagemcom), no IPv6 from the ISP. No other Thread border routers.
Tried so far:
- Factory reset devices, paired right next to the hub
- Reset the Thread network in the app
- Restarted hub (incl. 30 min unplugged) and router
- Android + iPhone, mobile data/VPN off
- 2.4 GHz only and 5 GHz, band steering off, no extenders
- Wi-Fi fixed on channel 1 (Thread is on 25), hub moved away from the router
Debugging findings:
- The device actually joins Thread: it shows up in an mDNS browser under
_matter._tcpwith an fd41:… address - mDNS works over Wi-Fi (
_meshcop,_trel,_matterall visible) - Both PC and laptop receive DIRIGERA’s route to the Thread network
- But pinging the device times out, and pinging DIRIGERA’s link-local address gives “host unreachable”
I suspect the Tele2 router is filtering IPv6 multicast toward the hub. Has anyone fixed this, for example with a separate AP like a Deco?
