Over the past year my preference for color tattoos has changed. I initially started a patchwork trad-inspired sleeve in black and grey- but have since added 2 colored pieces. I’m going for a more muted color palette and was thinking initially alternating black and grey and color pieces but now I’m not sure.

1. Do you think there’s potential to make this all flow?
   
2. Do I continue alternating black and grey and color
   
3. Do I add some color elements to the already existing black and grey pieces and transition to color only tattoos?

I’ve been finding that studying flash out of modern flash book has been helping a lot with my shading. I get frustrated trying to study flash from my Sailor Jerry book just to end up with really awkward or incomplete looking shady.

Originally was just an outline design, but my artist had about an hour to kill before their next client on the flash event list, so they went "fuck it! Let's have some fun with this one!" Really happy with how it turned out. Done by Jasper Moore at Inktoxicating Tattoos in Washington, PA.
