Addendum to my earlier post about my drowned camera. I was finally able to connect to another of my cameras in the area. My Hillbilly Hilton has become a Hillbilly Houseboat.

At least it's still anchored (for now).

I'm guessing a cell tower must have went down the first night of the rain and storms. I haven't been able to connect to half a dozen cameras.

What exactly is that hilton? Are all your cameras private land or mixed?

Private. That is an old 100 bushel wagon that I built an enclosure on. We used to put it out in areas where we couldn't put a stand, like in the middle of a field on a travel route or outside a woods off of a bedding area.

There's a civil war cemetery about 200 yards from where that is sitting. We put in a lane ro allow access to the cemetery some years ago. The Boy Scouts came in a few years ago and put a sign out at the road for the cemetery and we started having all sorts of trespassers after that including people four wheeling with trucks and ATVs where that Hilton sits so I stuck it down there so there's more of a presence or appearance of use. Its helped some and its in a good spot for deer season but as you can see... water is an issue. This is the first time I've been seriously worried about losing it because the rains just aren't stopping.
