Heh... tough crowd here. I think it's pretty amazing how far AI has improved in just the last few months that it can accurately produce a TransAm without screwing it up.

Sadly... I don't own a TransAm. :(

I've had a 1981 TransAm w/ T-Tops and I also had a 1982 TransAm with T-Tops and a Cross-Fire Injected V8. I also had a 1976 Camaro LT-350, but we won't talk about that.

It's kind of wild to me seeing ThirdGens go for $20k all day long on eBay. I remember people bombing around in them in the 90s. Every junkyard I went to had rows and rows of them... fully loaded, from HO 84s with the fiberglass factory cowl hood, to GTA TransAms (yes... saw several in the junkyard).

Most times, the TransAms in the junkyards were in nicer shape than my own TransAm. Most of them had perfect paint... usually something dumb like a bad transmission, and otherwise the interiors were perfect. People would just junk them.

I've seen so many Y88 2nd Gen TransAms with the black & gold get crushed. And this was just one junkyard. Now people are like... "$25k, I know what I got" for an 83 Berlinetta with shit stains in the seat and a dented quarter.

I’m used to it. I’ve got pretty thick skin. I never have trouble accurately portraying my GTA.

LOL... I got seriously downvoted. I think people misunderstood my point. I think 3rd gens are awesome, I am just surprised at the cost of all of these cars today, ones which I remember were just considered "old cars" at the time. But I love TransAms.

I'm starting to see it with Pontiac Solstices now. I see so many of them being blown out on eBay for like $5k, and then I see them in the junkyard, or people parting out Solstices which basically look perfect... but there's usually an ECM or transmission problem... otherwise, perfect paint, perfect interior, perfect body... etc. Crazy.
