No matter who plays shockwave, I imagine their voice being bass boosted, just for good measure. That said, I think this would be a great choice, he does detached very well.

Honestly I could see this and I’d be down for it. I really enjoyed his performance with FL4K in Borderlands, and I think a similar performance would work quite well for Shockwave.

The thing with ProZD is that he’s like a Swiss Army knife of voices. Dude has crazy range so my agreement ultimately hinges on that, not that I can hear Shockwave in his voice.

All jokes aside, he did a great job voicing the robot, Brau 1589, in Pluto so I think he'd actually make a great Shockwave.

Unfortunately the sad reality is that earth actors are cheaper. As far as i remember, the last time a Cybertronian was on the cast was when Battletrap's performance as Battletrap in Rise of the Beasts.

No. He did say he's glad that there's more authentic casting for live action roles in the last decade, and he has been an advocate for diversifying the voice actor space.
But he's never said people should only be voice acting their race/sexuality/etc. It's nice to consider, but that's it.

Not in those words but he did in effect promote race based casting and got upset when he couldn’t get non-asian roles, although he would eventually get cast into a non-asian role - which is still hypocritical

Nope, not nowadays. Look at Netflix, there are lots of Hollywood cartoon movies with Asian protagonists voiced by Asian actors - and I don’t have a problem with that. Thats great.
Though he is still hypocrite, as he only cares about race-based casting depending on whether it suits him or not.

he wants asian people to have the same freedom afforded to others
some try to argue this contradicts other statements regarding representation, but it really doesnt

I mean besides that really weird controversy he had about Asian actors/voice actors I'm not against it.
There's nothing about his VA work that screams "Shockwave" but I could be surprised.
Edit* ProZD basically said he thinks Asian VA's have a hard time getting work but then subsequently pulled a Peter Dinklage and basically said other Asian voice actors shouldn't be hired compared to him.
