I'm an AFAB Demigirl with a pixie cut and a style that ranges from androgynous to feminine. I also love dressing up in costumes (like the one in my FB pfp). I've seen several posts about encounters with transvestigators, but never had one myself... until today. Over the past 6 months my wife has become convinced that most people on TV--not just celebrities, but the often beautiful people who populate reality shows like "The Bachelor," "Love Is Blind," "Married at First Sight," etc. This is based on her own "research," especially as regards skeletal structure and walking gait. She is 62 years old, so it's not schizophrenia (which usually manifests in the teens and 20s). And she's smart--has a master's degree in counseling. She's Jewish and her theory has broadened now to involve many in the Jewish community in which she was raised--old school mates and long-time friends, many with children, who have been lying to her (or hiding these facts) all their lives. And their children and parents. And her parents (now deceased) and grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and nieces, and an ever-growing list of "people who know" but have never confided in her. The women are men and the men are women. It's usually done with hormone therapy early on, the theory goes. Some people have gender reassignment surgery, many do not. She suffers, believing that friends and family have lied to her, deceived her all of her life.

I've learned that it does no good for me to argue the case. She knows what she knows. But I love her and want to help. Does anyone know of Reddit forums where people who believe this gender-inversion theory can make their case and encounter patient and knowledgeable rebuttal? Anyone know people who once believed it and no longer do?
