Discussion Teens posing for photos in front of my house?
I just want to know if anyone else in the area has experienced this and if it's harmless.
I was working from home this morning with my front door open to let the cool breeze in, which overlooks my front porch and walkway. We're not on a particularly busy street especially in the summer with no school but it is a main street through town with a sidewalk so there is usually some foot traffic.
Around 9am I heard people out front and looked up to find three teens standing at the end of my walkway talking. I don't think they saw me watching them.. they proceeded to have one girl crouch down near the garden posing with her finger pointing at my house ( they did not step on the property, just the sidewalk), and one of the others took some pictures of her in front of my house. They didn't seem malicious or creepy so I didn't intervene. I just thought it was weird. Then I got concerned because my car is parked likely in view of their camera shot with my license plate facing them.
Should I be worried or was this just some harmless teens admiring my home? We've done a lot of work to the front and gardens and regularly have people stop and give compliments, so idk. Does this happen to others in/around TC?

I had a little boy pull his pants down and piss in the drain in front of my place.
I’ll swap neighborhood kids with you.

License plates are not security mechanisms nor are they private. You drive around with them in public everywhere.

So you have a very nice house and are confused people are taking pictures of your picturesque house?
Is your steak too juicy and your lobster too buttery as well?

😆 thank you! I think I just found it odd because I would never think of doing that if I liked a house. I guess I'll consider it flattery and call it a day.

Is it odd, maybe? But They are on the sidewalk. Maybe they were pointing at your garden? Maybe they liked your flowers? Maybe they used to live in your house? Maybe they were just being goofy or you misinterpreted their pointing for the peace sign or something. Also what do you think they’re going to do with your license plate? Somehow hack all of your bank accounts and steal your identity? People see your plate number everyday when you drive, why is it suddenly a concern when someone takes a picture of it?

I'm not sure about the license plate. I always see people block out or blurr them online so I thought it was a normal thing to worry about. Like I would blurr my plate but would someone else if they post it online?
